HELP - I GOT MY DRESSING WET
I'm really worried, I am only 4 days post op and had a shallow bath, however, I laid back, couldn't resist and got my dressings wet, not soaked but wet.
I then dried them out with the help of my hair dryer on cool covering my boobies though. God I feel such a fool. Can anyone advise me. Really panicking, one for getting them wet, then two using hair dryer.

I would say you need to get them redressed hun. Bacteria loves warm and damop and its rewally not worth getting a infection.Surely your local casualty would do that if you cant get into your hospital. Ring the emergency number xxx

Re: HELP - I GOT MY DRESSING WET
Chrissy, I was told by my nurse to use a cool setting on my hairdryer to dry off the dressing. Not had to do it as yet. II've not got mine too wet as was told not to have a bath. Showers are ok but only allowing the water to run off your back rather than facing in. When is your next check-up? Are your dressings waterproof? X

Re: HELP - I GOT MY DRESSING WET
Thanks girlies, I remembered the hairdryer thing from when I had kids and stitches and my midwife told me to use one to dry them. I was worried though as it is a different op lol.
My ps said he would see me again on 29th/30th as my BA was on 22nd and was the last before the hols. I may text him tomo as I have his number.
Thank you

Re: HELP - I GOT MY DRESSING WET
Thats great PS! So glad you're getting better by the day. My appointment might only be later as my clinic closed for Xmas and NY. I'll be glad to get them off. Let us know how you get on. I've updated some pics on my picture trail. Sorry Chrissy to hijack! x
