one more week of sports bras!!

hey ladies!!
I'm 5 weeks post op today, saw the nurse this morning and she said i could wear normal bras (without a wire) in a weeks time!!!! woohoo

Can't wait to get to the shops and start wearing pretty bras!! I've looked online, but all the bras without wires are a bit boring.... can you take the wires out of normal bras or will it wreck them?? I have to wait another 7 weeks before i can wear an underwire.... unfortunately!! Do you think i'll remain at a 34E now or could i change size after the 5 week mark? My boobs have dropped quickly, not sure if i've experienced obvious fluffing though...??

What brand of bras would you girls recommend? Have heard that la senza aren't very good quality........

Hi Amy love, iv been naughty and have guilty try on sessions in lasenza lol I got a normal bra and took the wire out to wear for an hour the other night and it was fine, the cups don't fit right into your cleavage but fitted fine other than that.

I'm hoping I'll get the same news as you on Sunday.

I was told it was fine to take the wires out of underwire bras and wear them. I agree, non-underwire bras don't fit the best....

Are the wires easy to take out? Can you take them out of any bra and put them back in? Sorry if i sound like a div...... lol :doh:

I just made a tiny snip on the inside on the armpit side, and was able to slip it right out. I saved them, and don't see why it wouldn't go back in at a later date.....

Just make a little cut about a cm down from where the end of the wire ends and push it down to get it out, do this on the bit close to your armpit and then you can just stitch it up when you push the wire back in.

I was shocked how thick the wire is!!!!

I have a balconette non padded from wonderbra, it's lovely and makes the boobs pop up nicely :P x

Hey claire - yea I was shocked at how we use these bras everyday and it's a freaking WIRE lol

Bet u can't wait hun, I'm not even 2 weeks post op but cant wait to get out of these damn sports bras!!!I have been looking around and have thought the same as you, that non wired bra are pretty drab (and hard to find) so glad you've asked about taking them out xx Have fun bra shopping xxx dance

I didnt have to wear a chest strap, dont know why some girls do and others dont??? But I certainly am loving my boobies , bf loves them as well but think he cant wait to properly get his hands on them!!! haha xxx Love ur avatar too, the bikinis fab as well Cheerleader

Yeah I just bought a couple of cheap debenhams tshirt bras to keep me going and cut the wire out! I won't re use them once I can wear wire that's why I bought cheap I'll go crazy once I get the thumbs up on wires can't wait to buy sexy see through Lacey bras :) xx

Nikita good plan with the cheap bras, think i will do that then cut the wires out of them, claire sent me a link for a wireless wonderbra but it only goes up to a DD.... gutted!! And it has gel in it, i was getting very excited!! lol.

amy d! you have to check out the ultimo range. gooorgggeoouuss!! i got 6 (ooopppps) bras from that range but in fairness they all had 70% off! i got them instore at debenhems. online the selection is crap so i might have been lucky with the sizing! beautiful though. really liked debenhems gorgeous range too. havent worn any yet though ha ha! i am 6 weeks today :) had a check up last week and my surgeon told me to go for it but dont feel ready yet

isnt bra shopping fun!!!

Oh cool, thanks pink petal, I'll have a look at that, bra shopping is extremely exciting when you have nice boobs, and very depressing when you have saggy boobs... ! I love it now! LOl pleasant change!
