Happy after seeing only two PS's? Empty Happy after seeing only two PS's?

Post by roxanne 5th November 2011, 9:37 am

I know I keep hearing about how we should see as many PS's as possible, at least three. But I have seen two now, both BAPRAS members who also do NHS work and reconstructive PS. Basically these qualifications are important for me because I plan on having only an uplift so for me it's really about the reshaping of what little I have, lol.

So both PS meet my requirements, I was comfortable with both, and both recommended the same type of surgery, no different opinions.

I feel after my two consultations, I pretty much heard what I need to hear to make my decision. I could see someone else as there's someone else that I may have been considering, but I don't think I'm too bothered anymore. Plus, there's only one private clinic where I live, and I've seen the PS who interests me in this one. Which means I would have to travel a couple of hours to London, taking more time off work, and expense of travelling when I feel my mind is already made up. (For the record I think I'm going for the one in London and will be booking a second consultation with him.)

Anyway it would be great to hear from you, sorry for so many questions lately :)

I only saw 1 Mr Hassan and I was soo happy and confident I booked with him! yes sometimes you should see more than 1 but for me it would have been too much & i would have had too much going around in my head and it may not have been as easy.

I only saw one PS too hun. After seeing Mr Hassan I already knew he was the one to do the job! I'm so pleased I went with my gut instint, he has transformed me, I can't explain how happy i am! I know some people like to see more than one PS and I guess I would have done too, if I hadn't been lucky enough to meet Mr Hassan first! Good luck sweet xxx

Hi Roxanne I only saw one as well. I was really happy with him and didn't feel i needed to see anyone else even though i had planned on having a couple of consults with others. Mine is an NHS reconstruction surgeon too. Best of luck

I only saw one ps (although i'd seen another 5 years before) and i knew instantly he was the one for me. I did also look at reviews on the internet b4 booking my op (and found this amazing forum in the process!!!) but i didn't feel it was necessary to see anymore ps's as every review i'd read about Mr M was positive. congrats on boking ur surgery hun xxx

I only saw one, would have liked to see 2, but if you're happy with either or both no point wasting people's time at more appointments!! :)

Hey, I only saw one and it just felt right, then after researching him and talking to girls who'd had their op with him on here I was convinced he was the right one for me! I'm thrilled with the results, I would say go with your gut instincts, if you feel you've met the one that's right for you xx

Thanks ladies! I think you all make some really good points, and put my mind at ease.

I'm leaning towards booking a second consultation with one of them so that my husband can come along too since he hasn't been to either consult yet, and both PSs were very clear that they preferred he come along next time.

I saw 3, only booked to see the other surgeons because I wasn't happy with the first one. And what the others have said is right, I'm now confused with which surgeon to choose!

There's no harm in seeing more than one, but if you're happy and the surgeon can give you what you want, go for it!

sometimes i think its best not to overconfuse the matter.
If youre happy with your first or second one, then theres no point second guessing yourself
