How long from consultation ?

How long does it take from your consultation to getting your BA ?

At my first consultation they advised that by law they have to give a minimum 2 week period for you to 'cool off' i.e. consider your choices, before they can book a BA. Anytime outside that is doable depending on surgeon schedules. xxx

its up to you and your surgeons diary.

i waited 6months because i needed a convenient time around the kids etc

Some girls on here have had a consultation and booked for the same week, I thinks its all down to when you want it and what dates are available with your chosen surgeon. From my consultation with surgeon and me having surgery it will be 2 n half months wait, my choice to wait.

hi hun, i booked my surgery for 6 weeks after my consultation, think it does depend on ur surgeon etc and when there are available dates, but you don't have to wait too long i don't think. My mate booked her surgery 3 weeks after her consultation!! xxx

When I had my consultation (which I had to wait a month for) I could have had the surgery within 3/4 weeks but I waited until after the summer hols. I think it depends on the ps as each have a different waiting time - shouldnt be long though and hope you get them done soon so you can enjoy your Christmas - roll on party dress shopping! XX

I had my consultation on the Monday and was in surgery on the Sunday!! 6 days after.. So I think as long as they have a bed you can go in really quick! :)

wow 6 days ... !! i booked my op on the 5th july and my op is on the 12th nov ... my choice to wait though because of work and money ... i dont get how alot of surgeons say 'no this or that for atleast 2 weeks' but you can have your 1st consultation and op within a week ?!! crazy ....

Yea it was a bit crazy but I think it would have killed me if I had waited longer.. I was soo nervous! I knew I wanted done for years so wasn't that bigger deal for me! Plus it was the most convenient time for me so worked out really well! I bet the time to yours will fly by! :) xx

I booked in 2 weeks after my consultation but my ps decided to go on hols so it was 4 weeks in the end. DEpends on their schedule and how decided you are!

As AmyD said, I had my consultation just 3 weeks ago, booked in a few days after and my BA is this monday! I came away knowing it was the right thing for me and was instantly happy with my surgeon. I also really wanted it doing before Christmas! It is entirely up to you hun xx

Funny when I brought mine forward the friday so 9 days before they said I had the last bed lol they do love the hard sell I was always getting mine so my pc really could have saved her selling lol!

Also I had consult in may and waited till September so summer was over and so I could pay cash xx

Yes doing really well, healing very nicely, loving them they have softened and I can't wait to wear the bra I bought about 6 days post op lol! How about you?

Yea my pc said there was only a couple beds left, but yea I think they love the hard sell! Probably a really good decision to wait for this time of year, summer clothing would be a nightmare with the sports bra!! Ha xx

How did the panicking and nerves go throughout the day sparky? More to the point how did your consultation go? Hope it went well :) I'm so nervous about mine tomorrow, feel quite sickly :( the big day is going to be horrendous lol!

Just back from the consultation claire,i was very panicky early in the day but it seemed to wear off when i got to the hospital!,we were there at least half an hour too early but wasnt quite sure where it was so set off early as we didnt want to be late,anyway im waffling on cos im so excited now,saw Mr Spyrou ,what a lovely man ,very straight talker,told me exactley what he thought which was i needed unders because of the mammagram probs i had in march( i have a marker inplanted that there keeping an eye on ),he said the rounds wont look right on me so opted for anotomicals as i have a very bony cheast,i think he said 375 xhprofile,i tried them on ,looked pretty good i must say !!he did a lot of measuring and took photos!,to be honest i didnt feel at all embarrased like i thought i would!,there was a lovely nurse in with us while this was going on and my hubby was sat in the other room ,he did say i had very good breasts for 51 which i thought was nice of him! He is trying to fit me in for 19th november !!!!!!! will find out for sure tomorrow,i hope its then!!!!Sorry for going on a bit but i feel real giddy now !!! ,so dont get too nervous tomorrow its not as bad as you think!!Let me know how you get on !!xxxx
