2day post op

hi im 2day post op and i feel rubbish!feel really down :( my friend said it maybe withdrawel symptoms from the medicine they used when i was having the op.
am feeling really stiff on my chest and i find it hard to life small objets like trays/laptop. and i cant flush the chain!
im feeling verysad,think i overdid it yday,i ran up the stairs a few times...probably not the best thing to do one day after a op!
iv'e got a friend visiting me later and i really cant be botehrd to see her,i look rough . my mum helped wash me in the shower yday but i stil feel dirty andi keep dropping crumbs down my bra :( xxx

You sound like you're having some side effects from the GA, please dint worry!! I used deodorising wet wipes as I wasn't allowed to shower for 2 weeks! Only managed the odd shallow bath after a week with help from hubby. Hopefully you're taking your painkillers, drink plenty of water sweety, it will help flush your system!! You do feel a bit minging for a bit but it will soon pass and all will be worth it!!! Chin up Hun, things will improve. Lots of water!!!

Aww hun, you've got the 'boobie blues' it's a combination of the ga, the meds you're taking and just generally feeling uncomfortable from not being able to sleep and relax properly. I remember feeling exactly like you, that first week was awful, I even regretted having my op. It does pass though hun, so don't worry. Perhaps seeing your friend will be just the tonic you need.

thnks i dont mean to be a pain and moan about it :( im trying to keep positive but its a bit hard i think first few days after the op,thnks fo rmaking me feel better :) xxxx

Awe rosy huni I was exactly the same day 5 was my worst but then it got better everyday. Just keep smiling huni it'll all be worth it :)

TRY to stay positive.... I think most of us feel crap early post op... it won't be long before you feel a bit better each day and think what you will have for your troubles.... its all worth it in the long run x

Hi rosy, I agree with all the girls on here. It's just a side-effect from all the strong medications that you took. Don't worry it will pass, you're only on day 2 and many girls find it to be the worst day of recovery. But once it's over it will all be worth it. Drink lots of water and sleep so you kind of 'escape' from the situation. We're here for you 2day post op 571992

Some people react worse to GA than others, it can take a few days to get out of your system, like others have said drink lots of water to flush it out. Im day 6 now and i slept alot the first 3days. Chin up you will be feeling very different very soon 2day post op 571992

I'm so sorry I know you're feeling down but I had a chuckle when you said you keep dropping crumbs down your bra! I was the same way! (still am!!) It's weird that there's a gap there now for things to fall in right??

Hun, you just drink TONS of water, this is like a "coming down" from those powerful GA drugs - flush it out. Take it easy, and stay on here as much as possible for support. 2day post op 571992

I had a total melt down about a week after my first op haha, it was awful I cried all day xx This site really helped me though xx moan away hunni xx we're all here for you group hug

im trying not to over do it,but its too exciting ,going out today for the first time since getgting themdone,going to the shops with my mum.can't be botherd to put any makeup on thou ! xx

glad to here ur feeling a bit better rosy girl i had the blues about day 7 was fed up of not showering etc and just got me down!! best advice i can give u is being up and about really did help my recovery i went back to uni the day after my op and have been everyday since think it's really helped because i've not had as much time just laying around to feel sorry for myself!! first 2 weeks are the worst after that everyday gets so much easier xx

hey hun im feeling alot better today :) iv'e done alot but i think maybe i should have rested but tomorow i plan to maybe just go on a little walk and just sit most the day! i let my bf hav a lil play on my puppies earlyer :P xx
