3 days post op - help! Empty 3 days post op - help!

Post by lucykk 29th July 2011, 2:30 pm

Hi girls, three days post op and pain not too bad now but I'm stressing out about the tightness of my boobs. My nipples are huge, and although they are okay in colour everything just seems really tight and stretched. Had 300cc HP overs. Is this normal feeling? Some slight sensation back in nipples but getting worried about the swelling ... it's not hard but just doesn't seem to be going down.
Any advice greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Lucy x

Hello lucykk!

The tightness is from stretching of the skin as your body adjusts to the size of the implant.I had that. And mine also became swollen and were red in some areas. And boy did I itch bad at one point during the first few weeks!Oooooo....that kept me up a few nights itching!LOL!Congratulations on your new boobies!

hiya. I had a lot of swelling and it suddenly disappeared at 2 weeks to the day after my op. I was on a walking holiday at the time so i wonder if the activity helped. I also felt my nipples were really stretched but they have gone back to normal as my skin has relaxed!

Unfortunately for me, my skin relaxing involved the formation of lots of stretch marks :(

Your stretch marks might go away or at least not appear as ovious as your implants drop.I got them to but they are going away now.

yup tight skin is normal, I had that bad... the skin just needs time to stretch to accomodate the implant as this happens the implant will fit better in its pocket, fill out and take on a fuller more natural shape.

congrats on ur new boobies!I had my op Wednesday hun and I feel the same. I am still in contact with the lady who had her surgery after me so we have been comparing notes and she is has rung the clinic to check and they have said its totally normal. I have found the more I walk around (only in the house) the better my boobs feel, they seem to loosen up a bit. From reading other womens stories though I think this feeling lasts a few weeks hun, but it will all be worth it

I had this followed by peeling.... not a good look in a black bra. This does all go though as they relax and settle. Its just part of the changes you can experience.

Good luck hun and don't worry to much.

Thank you for all your posts. Had a pretty **naughty word** day today. Went and had my hair done and did a bit too much and definitely feeling it now. Really sore and down in the dumps. Can't wait to have my appt with cosmetic nurse and surgeon on Tuesday. At least I'll have an idea how I'm doing. It's all so alien!!
Hope everyone enjoys the weekend, I can't wait to get out and do normal stuff!
