Bras?
Hiya Ladies
Just wondering my surgeon told me i would be ok to wear a bra at 4 weeks but wear my sports bra on a night.
To be honest i feel fine and well enough to wear a bra but would rather keep my sports bra on as it feels more supportive, but did want to wear a bra next sunday on a night out just for that night.
Ive read somewere though that wearing a bra early on can change the shape of the implant pocket and also leave you with lumps round the edge, is this right or will i be ok for one night?
Also out of curiosity how long where you ladies recommended to wear a sports bra was it 12 weeks or 6 weeks?
Thanks x x x

Re: Bras?
Hi hun
I was told by my nurse to wear my sports bra day and night for 6 weeks. Only after that did she say to wear an underwired bra and just for a couple of hours at a time to start with, so's not to rub on your scars too much. Though Im sure you'd be ok if it was just one night out. Different surgeons say different things, do what feels right, as long as your careful xxx

Thanks Hun its really confusing think were all told such different things lol, i think ive heard most ladies wearing theres for 6 weeks so im gunna stick to that, im covering my scars at the moment with healing pads do you think this will help as the bra probably wont rub on my scar as much?

Re: Bras?
Hiya hun, I posted about this earlier too as i have my first post op app with ps tomorro and he said if hes happy when he sees me i can start wearing a proper bra from tomorro and keep wearing the sports bra on a night, i thought this was a tad early too as some girls are told to wear them for anything up to 6-8 weeks. So i'll keep ya posted on how it goes, xxxx

Re: Bras?
Confusing
I was told 6 weeks daytime and 3months night. Not sure if it was due to unders and anatomicals though???
I would think you will be fine for the night, personally I would wear a non wired bra, as apparrently the pressure of the wires can disrupt healing of tissue and scars. That's if they are movable enough yet to fit in a normal bra. You will know when you try some CB, if it feels comfy go for it and enjoy yourself :flash:xx
