I thought that i would have had my dressings changed before i left the hospital this morning but they weren't. I guess when i see the nurse friday they will be then.
Were your dressings left on? How are you supposed to tell if you have any more bleeding?

Is it going to hurt when they are finally removed?

Your dressings are left on so as not to disturb the healing of your scars hun, when you go for your 1st post-op check, your dressings will be removed, your wound checked and depending on your healing, some heal quickly, some a little slower, you may well come home with dressing off after that. The dressings dont hurt at all when they're removed, you wont feel a thing.

You will know if you're having a bleed hun, if you do see blood through the dressings, don't worry, it's absolutely normal, some women ooze blood a little more than others, so it's fine if some blood seeps through the dressings. You should only be concerned if the blood isn;t seeming to stop, you'd feel your dressing will be sodden wet with blood, only then should you call your clinic, nothing to panic about, it's just that you may need your wounds checked and redressed again till the bleeding stops. I had a bleed hunni and it was just fine, so don't worry hun. xx

I had to take my own dressings off after two days and then shower. It may depend on your surgeon and what type of lift you had.

Cool, today im actually more excited bout having the dressings off to see what they look like than worried bout the pain. I spoke to a nurse at Transform today, she said she has seen the after surgery photos and reckon they look fab, really symmetrical so im dead keen to see the results!! fingers crossed for symmetrical boobies!!!! x x
