Hematoma - anyone?????
Hi
I had my BA two weeks ago. When the tape and dressing was removed a week ago, one breast was really bruised and the other wasn't. the nurse didnt seem overly concerned at the time and said that as it was the smaller breast that it may just be that it was harder for the surgeon to create the whole for the implant etc.
now 6 days after that appointment, I have more bruising coming out on that breast and like a constant pain in the lower part of my breast. The nurse has asked me to go and see the surgeon Thursday in case its a Hematoma. I am absolutely petrified that they are going to say that i need something done to fix it.
The actual breast is no bigger than the other one. Just has this pain in it and covered in bruising. Has anyone experienced anything like this. Would love your advice.
Thanks

Re: Hematoma - anyone?????
hello
yes I had a hematoma it was my left boob it was really bruised compared to the righty and i had to go back and see the surgeon as it kept going hard and really painful, as if it was contracting or something. I think they would have done something by now if you needed another op to fix it as the nurse would have realised this. It will go away on its own but it will take some time as mine took a few weeks and for the hardness and pain to subside. good luck am sure you will be fine xx
