Post by newboobs? 11th March 2011, 7:22 pm

Hi ladies

I had a uplift/BA almost 3 weeks ago now, so far so good..had 275cc unders and now a 32E ( still can't believe why so big!!!)

Anyhow my concern at the moment is that I am still numb around the sides going towards my back area, and generally sideward on towards the nipples is this normal and will I ever get the feeling back again??

Hi hun although I didn't have a lift, I was numb after my BA and was numb for a good 3-4 months. It did start to come back slowly from a few weeks post op. I found I had numb patches up until a year post up. So it can take a while and although there is a risk it wont come back, it does usually come back.

Hi sweetheart, I had an ordinary BA and mine were completely numb for a while (but I did have sharp, shooting spasmodic pains in and behind the nipples) but slowly over the last month the whole breast (apart from the nipples) are more like they used to be (i.e. I can feel when they are touched). The only parts which are still numbish are my nipples - and although I can now feel if they are touched, I am still not getting my full sensitivity back yet. When I asked James McDiarmid about them early doors, he said it can take up to a year for the numbness to completely go and that generally most women do regain normal sensitivity.

I agree with that - had just a BA, no lift, and mine took a year for all the feeling to come back, nipples especially...then my nipples became more sensitive than before.

Phew! I'm at 3 weeks and I gave the same numbness at the sides and also underneath. Strangely my nipples are more sensitive-they go hard at any given moment - embarassing eh!

Well I wouldn't in all honestly recommend that you try that to test them hun, but apparently the majority of us do get normal sensitivity back (some have slightly reduced sensitivity and a few do not regain sensitivity).
