re-op, uplift

I was going to add this to the end of the last thread i did, but i cant seem to find it, so am starting a new one.
i had my consultation today about my revision surgery with mr Sojitra and he thinks the problem is, my implants are sitting too high. My pec muscles seem to be pushing them up. They havent dropped really or changed shape much since I had it done and I have a lot of upper pole fullness, but in the lower pole, theres no implant, just drooping skin. He says he thinks maybe the bra I was wearing to begin with might have been a factor, and after ive had my re-op he doesnt want me to wear a bra at all. Just a strap to push them down.
Anyway, he wants to open at the old scar and lower both implants a centimetre or so. He said it doesnt sound like much, but its enough to make a difference. He also wants to do a lollipop lift on one side, although says i might not need one on the other side. He will see at the time of surgery, but if i do, it will just be a doughnut lift. He says he regrets not suggesting an uplift the first time round but really thought we could get away with it. He said overs wouldnt have had this problem, but as i didnt have enough tissue i would have got quite a fake look, which I specified I didnt want.
The board of directors are meeting next week to discuss revision cases, so I should hear in about 2 weeks

I'm glad that you are having this looked into and they are keeping to their aftercare promise.

How are you feeling about this? Do you agree with whaat he i saying and can you see what he is talking about?

I trust what hes saying. I wish I didnt have to go through another operation, but feel quite confident that it will be alright after this. The only thing im slightly worried about is he says I might not need one on the other side - He says the lowering of the implant alone should correct that side, but im not sure

I think it's normal to feel like that because this is a re-op. But you say that he will see at the time of the op so he will have both in front of him to compare.

I really hope that you don't have to wait to long and that once it's done that will be that end of it x x

Awww Abbie, sorry you have to have a re-op at all hun, but glad to read you seem to be well looked after by your surgeon and clinic. Hopefully you won't have too long to wait for a date babe and if after you're all booked your concerns are still playing on your mind then another consultation before surgery might be all that's needed to give you some reassurance before your op. xx

Bless ya hunny, least my beast are being great about the whole thing. this is why i had my third re-op, my implants had not dropped and the muscle was holding them so tightly they was not budging anywhere. it also created quite bad muscle distortation too. i had my implants removed and my muscle disected away to release the implant abit more. when i come out of threatre my surgeon visited me and said the reason why this happened is my previous surgeon had made the pocket far to small and there was not enough space for my implant..

im abit puzzled why he said about a lift?????
if your implants are released then you nipples etc will hang higher. this was my issue when i had my re-op, as my implant was so high i had droppy skin underneath and my nipples hung low. he said to me if my implant was released and he felt like my nipples were still low then it would be a case of a niplle lift. which i didnt need and my boobs are now perfect.
good luck in finding out if they will do revision got my fingers crossed xxx

i think he said about a lift because on one side the drooping is worse than on the other. He thinks the right side will be corrected by lowering the implant alone, but not the other side unfortunately and to expect a lollipop scar :(

Having just been through a re-op myself I know how you must be feeling. On the positive side, its a much speedier recovery, I dont even feel like I have had an op, its only the breast band that is causing my discomfort.

thats good to hear Breasticles. I hope my recovery is easy this time, as ill have to get back to doing everything with the kids sooner this time -last time I had it done at the beginning of the 6 week summer holidays, so i didnt have to go out unless i felt up to it. Next time ill maybe be able to get family to help me out with the school and nursery run for a couple of weeks, but after that it will be back to normal, pushing the double pushchair up hills etc.
I also will have to wear a breast band for 4 weeks. I guess at least it will be winter and be able to be covered up fairly easily

Does anyone have any thoughts on what he said that it was probably the bra I wore in the beginning pushing them up?
It was only a normal sports bra I wore. Its not as if it was a push up bra

I wouldn't have thought the bra would have had anything to do with it sweety but then again I guess he is the expert xx

Hi Abbie, glad youre getting sorted my lovely.
there might be something in it that a bra holds the implants up whilst healing in the first 6 weeks as some surgeons say not to wear a bra at all for the first 6 weeks to allow unders implants to drop properly or perhaps you have super strong chest muscles?

I do go to the gym, but I stopped doing upper body workouts 8 weeks before my BA. My pec muscles dont "look" well developed. Maybe they are better developed than I thought.

see i never go the gym ha ha ha ha bet my chest muscles are like tissue ha ha ha

no, he said i should hear (or call them) 2 weeks after my consultation, so im going to give them a call next week if i havent already heard.
I expect ill call them though. I dont expect theyll be chasing ME up for a re-op lol
