Burning sensation around scars Empty Burning sensation around scars

Hi girls.

I am getting a burning sensation/pain around the scars on both sides, but worse on my left. The scars look fine, but I have still have the tape on from the surgery 9 days ago so it is difficult to tell. The scars are not hot to touch, but it feels like an irritation from the bra band. However I have tried 3 different sports bras and i dont think it is this as the band seems to fit fine.

It feels very sore and irritated. Is this normal? Your opinions would be appreciated as I am in discomfort and in need of reassurance.

Thanks xxxxx

Does it feel like sunburn hun?

Alot of girls had this feeling in the couple of weeks after their BA and it does go away after a while.

If your worried though maybe you should contact your PS. x

Hi Pinkbabe

Yes I guess it does feel a bit like sunburn. Sounds like it may go away soon but if it continues for more than a couple of days may contact my PS for reassurance. xxxx

It could be the tape you have on - some girls have a reaction to it. Why not call your clinic and see if you can get something else for them?

When do you have your 1st post-op check hun?

It could be either of what Pinkbabe or kittie have suggested. If you're ver concerned and you haven't already got an appointment booked, then arrange to see your nurse hun, if only for some reassurance. xxx

Thanks for that girls - had my post op check on Monday and it was OK then and hadn't really started to irritate!!! Could be an irritation to the tape - will see how it goes in the next 24 hrs or so and call the clinic if necessary xxxxxxx
