Really sharp pain
Hello,
I had my boobs done 9 days ago now, They seem to be healing fine and softneingup nicely, but I'm finding that every time i stretch my arm slightly out or lift somthing in a cirtain way i get a KILLER pain in the left side of my left boob,! Its not my stiches. It feels like theres somthing pulling somthing inside, and its really really painful to touch at each side of my boobs/ribs, i had 460cc overs.
It leaves me in tears when this happens
Does anyone have any advice?
Im seeign my nurse on Thursday for my first post op check up. Im just a little worried :-( x

Re: Really sharp pain
Hey BG!! Back at work at 9 days..... I took 14 off...you're hardcore!
I had a Mondor's Cord problem with my left one (google) and it may be the problem, perhaps ask James Mc, but that felt like the pulling sensation you describe and was really sore when I stretched or put my left hand above my head.
You're right to talk to your nurse about it... more girls will be along to advise you soon I'm sure (I'm clearly abit rubbish at it hahahahahaha...).
Hope you're ok otherwise...xxx

Re: Really sharp pain
It could be Mondors cord as Mermaid suggested hun or it could be just pressure from the swelling pressing against a nerve, both can be quite painfull but either should settle on it's own hun so don't worry, but you should discuss this with your nurse when you go to your clinic on thursday.
Hope it eases up soon sweetness and please let us know how you get on

Re: Really sharp pain
I saw my nurse today and she said that it was the stiches inside and nerves fixing themselfs, she didnt realy examine the area, so im not overly confident. If i still get it by my 6 weeks check up which is on 3rd September, then i will bring it up again and make sure she checks!
My scars look pretty though amazing!! yey x x x

Re: Really sharp pain
Hi
I had overs and the same pulling feeling followed by the sharp pain. PS said it is just healing and take it easy at 20 days I have been able to do a full over the head stretch and it felt wonderful. You may be just doing too much too soon.
Take care

Re: Really sharp pain
Good to read you're healing well hun, I'm sure your pain will resolve itself, but if it gets worse or you're worried still at all you could always request an appointment to see your surgeon. xx
Re: Really sharp pain
I agree with cookie, if it gets worse or does not start to resolve itself you do not have to wait until your 6 week check up, you can ask (insist) to see him sooner
Re: Really sharp pain
Its got a lot better now, healing really really nicely and no pain at all! YEY! xx
