Felt implant! Empty Felt implant!

Post by Jemmy 3rd September 2009, 11:59 am

Was having a little feel around this morning as I had to change my steri strips, run my fingers along the boom if my boob and pushed in a little bit and could the implant.

Was such a weird feeling pushing along this solid mass inside me. Is it normal to be able to feel the bottom of the implant? Can't feel it anywhere else.

Yes with overs you can feel the implant alot easier, and usually at the bottom too, you have probably noticed it more because their so new to you, the bigger they are the easier it is to feel them aswell x x

I get that with partial unders too - I can sometimes feel it in the crease area, particulalry if I've been wearing a push up bra for most of the day! It comes and goes though, and if I massage it, it seems to disappear (to God knows where!) after a few minutes...

I've heard that's supposed to help but the nurse told me not too...

So confusing cause think most people are told to massage.. I'm wondering if I got a Nurse that doesn't know. I've read alot of people are shownn how to massage them at 1week check and told to use bio oil to help the scars and even pinch them to make them heal better... Finding post op way more stressful then pre!!

Hi Jemmy

I can feel the bottom of my implant too along the crease area - guess its normal...I had partial unders so the bottom part of my implants were 'overs' so guess why I can feel them.

Happy healing hun xxxxxx

Felt implant! Empty Re: Felt implant!

Post by sarahsbabies 4th September 2009, 2:17 pm

I had my 8 week check today and my PS said that it is the shell of the implant that I can feel along my crease. So all's normal :) . I asked about CC aswell and he said that the few cases that he's seen have developed at about 3 - 5 months, so to keep massaging. I also asked how long I had to put the bio oil on for (getting a bit bored of doing it) and he said until the scars go white. So for me and judging by my c-section scar, which is starting to go white after 7 months, another 6 months to go Rolling Eyes . Just a little bit of extra info incase you were wondering Hug
