Re: Stomach ache
It's absolutely a mix of it all. Antibiotics, painkillers and GA can block you up hardcore, so it's likely just constipation. It could be a few days yet before you go, give it 3/4days and if you still can't naturally, get some lactulose (or sennakot, but the lactulose is cheaper over the counter) and a spoonful should sort you right out. In the meantime, try and drink plenty of water, fruit and veg, and white proteins. You'll start to feel better in a couple days.

Re: Stomach ache
I echo Charlii above! The cocktail of things you are given really can't help your system. I was told codeine is the worst, so if you taking co codamol or something similar you may find it to be the cause.
I hope it eases soon. Try walking even if it's up and down the hall way to get everything flowing too! X

Re: Stomach ache
Hi loubeeloujack!!
You were my surgery buddy on Friday. How are you doing? I echo the tummy problems although mines not tummy ache. I just look and feel like I'm pregnant and I've not even eaten an Easter egg yet!!! I believe it's all to do with the ga and a combination of everything like the girls say. It doesn't bother me too much. I believe we will start to feel better in a few days so I'm happy to let nature take its course and be temporarily fat!!! Ha ha!!

Re: Stomach ache
Hi pixi81
Yes I'm eating well too. My husbands just made a lamb roast that was delicious and my stomach is now bigger than my new boobs! Not quite what you want but hey ho it will go down at some point. I'm also planning on eating a whole Easter egg in a bit and going the whole hog!!!

Re: Stomach ache
I just got home and my hubby said God you look pregnant cheers didn't notice the big boobs then. I love seeing all the kids they have loads of eggs and treats I asked my daughter for one and she said the bunny didn't bring you any as you were naughty and left us with daddy the weekend I just smiled at her x

Re: Stomach ache
Aww haha, sounds like your kids have been spoilt while you have been away!
Im glad you are feeling better.. i remember when i had key hole surgery, my stomach was huge after and my shoulders ached as apparently they move your diaphragm. Not that that has anything to do with what your experiencing haha.. just thought it is uncomfortable after surgery and having GA. It does pass :-) xx
