Wedding Dress question 10 weeks post op.
Hi girls. So I will be getting married in 8 weeks. Touch wood my healing goes as well as it can. My wedding dress is strapless corset style. Will it be ok do you think to go braless underneath it on my wedding day? It has a lot of support from the corset. Or do you think a strapless bra will also be needed? Xx

I think what has your surgeon said? Trust me, your wedding day is suuuuuch a long day, and 10wk post I think you're still going to be sore and achy if you go braless. Will you have had the all clear for wires by then? If so, I think maybe invest in 2 - a pretty wired strapless that you can wear during the day, and then maybe something unwired that you can slip on in the evening if you're getting too sore.
Just a thought - have you been re-fitted into your dress post op?!

Hi Charlii, Surgeon has said generally 6 weeks for wires as long as everything heals as it should. The thing is..The dress is fully corseted...so bra is not required as all the support is there. I was thinking more of chaffing rather than boobs aching as it's not as if they're hanging and no being supported. I'm going for another dress fitting in 2 weeks then will have another one 2 weeks before wedding. Wired strapless is exactly what I was thinking if anything just to protect the scars. It's a later wedding starting at 3pm and finishing at 12pm. We are getting wed and staying at the same hotel so my room is upstairs if I need to go and re - jig the boobs lol x

I always say better to have and not use, than want and not have. Having your room at the hotel will be a blessing then! In that case, I definitely think buy one, then you've got the choice on the day. Might be that you go without until after eating, then pop it on for dancing in the evening! I do think get fitted for the bra just before your 2wk prior dress fitting. That way you've got less chance of them changing massively for the best fit.
Where abouts is the wedding? (Im just being nosey now coz you're a bucks gal too!!)

Maybe get a bandeau style bra if you don't not support, just an extra layer to protect your scars. I think ive seen them on asos.

That's a really good idea Mammamia! Didn't think of that. That would probably do the job! Will have a look. Will get a strapless bra too as back up plan and play it by ear!

If you are allowed to go braless and you feel fine then go for it. Your corset style dress may give you support. But get a strapless bra just in case xxxxx

Ah Taplow House is lovely! Yeh, I got married in Gerrards Cross, we're in Farnham Common at the moment! Chalfont is a lovely area, we looked there when we were moving 18m ago.
