Finally made my decision!!!

Hi ladies, just wanted to say that I finally decided on surgeon, size, date, and type of implant!!

Hi went to 3 clinics and saw 2 surgeons: first Harley Medical Group, they use PIP implants that are considered less safe, plus they wanted a non refundable £500 deposit before seeing the surgeon, which I thought was quite suspicios.
Then I saw Ms Lutz at Transform, and apart from the fact that I couldn't find her references and they didn't even give me her CV, she was very rushed, unspecific and didn't ask my opinion or offer me any choice on shape or size, she just said this is what you should have and that's it, didn't even measure me. I know lovmyboobs had her surgery with her and it all went well, I am sure she is good but personally I didn't feel comfortable.
After that I saw Mr Adamo at Mya and he was very nice and professional and took his time, didn't even try to sell me the standard implants they normally use but offered me a choice on the type of implant (I am going for the more expensive FDA approved Allergan Inspira Soft Touch), measured me properly which made me realise a few things, like how important the base of the breast is and that I shouldn't go as small as I originally thought (I only wanted a little volume as opposed to a flat chest!) because the implants would have been too narrow (unless I used low profile which neither him nor me like). Either way I am not going huge as I am having 240 cc high profile, from a 32A hoping to be a full 32C. Maybe it's because we are both Italian and could talk in our language but I did like him a lot. I was also nervous about having unders a I do a lot of exercise and he reassured me that I have just enough tissue for overs.
I know you can't find a lot about him over the internet but he is GMC specialist registered, and he is in the Italian equivalent of BAAPS. I guess it was easier for me to find reassuring facts about him as I could check the Italian sites!

So ...they had an opening for the 4th of March a the Highgate Hospital, then nothing til April, and I decided to do it sooner rather than later!! I didn't need the 2 weeks to think about it that they suggest, I just want to have it done!!

So soon though... aaaargh, I am sure I am going to start panicking now!!!!!!

Congrats hun, sounds like you've researched well and made the right choice for you, i agree its important to be measured too so they know the implant will actually fit into you, less chance of ripples that way too. Not long to go now!! xxxxx

Thx girls, yes it seems both real and unreal, real because it's booked now, and unreal because I just can't believe it!!

By the way I re-read my post and just wanted to say that I didn't mean to slag off any clinics or surgeons but those are just my experiences and my personal thoughts!!! Everyone gets different impressions I guess.

By the way Amanda what time is your op? you must be so excited, I know I wouldn't be able to sleep!!!

Well done on making your decision. I always suggest seeing three or more surgeons before booking, as what works for one may not work for another.
