I had my BA yesterday and I just wanted to say the bum shuffle is a god send!! I think I have now mastered it and can easily get myself on and off the bed. So grateful to this website for all the little bits of information that you would not normally think of!xx

Congratulations on your BA. Cheerleader   .
Hope you aren't in too much discomfort at the moment.
All the little tips & advice on here are fab in making the early days post op a bit easier, bum shuffle being one of them.

Haha, loved the bum shuffle, though my muscles weren't so great at the time, had to use my leg as an anchor to even get myself up in the morning!

Congrats on your op, don't push yourself to hard, rest up, take it easy, and happy healing!

Haha, on the first morning I was home, I slid too far down the bed so I was nearly flat, I was flopping around like a seal trying to get up. Bum shuffle is now perfected!!

Ha ha I am now 5 days po and have perfected the bum shuffle! I am also getting cracking abs as I can now pull myself up from a much lower lying position with my abs alone. What a difference a few days can make!!

yeah same hun. Cant exactly call it pain and when im sitting still i feel nothing but as soon as i need to get up or move then wow do i feel it!!! I didnt get given dvt stocking in the end. Dont know why?! :-\ x

Well I definitely think I over did it yesterday, I was in quite a bit of pain last night and was in bed by 7! Hopefully today will be a better day and I'll keep on top of the pain meds. I still can't believe that I've finally done it if that makes sense?! x
