Laying down
Is there a rule about laying down to sleep. Can I now lay in my side if comfy? X
Miss laying on my front, but I know that'll be ages away! Good on my face though! Xx

Re: Laying down
Hiya Jen,
I started laying on my side after about 3 weeks once I had go ahead from my surgeon. Ached a bit to start with, but got easier. I still wear a sports bra in bed most nights, even tho I got the go ahead not to, I feel more comfortable and supported in one. Without a bra i sometimes wake up achey. I am a front sleeper too so really miss it, but over the years with 3 pregnancies and c sections (like you I believe?) I have got used to not being able to. I have recently started to wake up practically on my front, so I must be more comfortable now in my sleep to naturally roll over.
It may ache the next morning initially, but it will improve.
XXx

Re: Laying down
If your swelling has subsided yes you can start to turn onto your side. A v pillow will help ease and cushion you.
Cuddling it so your boobs are supported by it helps , I still sleep like it with mine in my sports bra.
You will eventually be able to sleep on your front you may be Ware of your boobs when you do, but a pillow under your tummy or just under your boobs again will help ease and give you comfort x

Re: Laying down
I knew I read you had a section, but could not recall how many. I have had 3, and am done now!!
I would check with your surgeon just to be sure. But I got the impression they kind of expect you to find a comfy sleeping position on you own - my PS seemed surprised I waited 3 weeks to ask rather than just do.?.. But I just needed an official "yes, it's ok!" before I was comfortable.

Re: Laying down
My nurse gave me the all clear at 2wks to lie back down, but your body will dictate the rest and will naturally move to a side or front sleep when it's ready. Maybe around 6wk I went back to my side. I'm still in a bra at night, but wore a sock between them for about 5mth otherwise they'd get really achey. They're still sore now if I sleep braless.

Re: Laying down
No matter how I was 'supposed' to lay while sleeping I'd always wake up in some weird position in the early days and wonder if I'd done harm lol. I still wear a sports bra in bed most nights as it still feels uncomfortable if I don't, but 2 1/2 months on I can comfortably sleep on front or side :) xx

Re: Laying down
I'll defo wear bra every night from now in. Want to preserve these assets as well as poss.
Well I laid on my sides last night. Well more early morn. Sock in between boobs and small cushion under my bust. Felt ok.
My boobs still feel sore every morning, well not sore but more hard and achy! Think sweeping gone in right as can feel implant.
Can't wait till the tenderness and weirdness goes x

Haha, Krizzooo, I remember reading a story on here about one of the girls had gone sunbathing and had dug two holes in the sand to put her boobs into so she could comfortably lie on her front!!
