surgeon consultation
I have my consultation tomorrow with Dr Solomos, slightly nervous. What should I expect from this consultation?

Re: surgeon consultation
There's a print out consulatation sheet in the info section to take with you to ask all the relevant questions.
He'll talk you through the procedure, discuss implant placement and types, then examine your breasts as tey are now, take some measurments to determine what specs the implants will need to be.
Take some photos of what boobs you like and what you're trying to achieve this will give him an idea of what cc to use.

Re: surgeon consultation
Hope the consultation goes well Laura.
What will happen is that you'll sit with a surgeon and they'll ask the type of surgery you're wanting which is of course a BA. You'll be asked to remove your upper clothing and bra so the surgeon can examine your boobs. You'll be required to stand to do this, so don't go wearing a dress babe or you'll be stood in you knickers lol.
Once the surgeon has examined you you can get dressed again and the surgeon will go through which procedure is right for you. Whether that's a straight forward BA, or an uplift or possible raise/ lowering of breast crease etc....
Once you've gone over everything that's it hun!
I'm unsure at the moment which coining your surgeon works for? If it's MyBreast, Spire, Nuffield or BMI you will see your surgeon direct.
But if it's one of the larger commercial clinic like Transform or THG then be aware that you may not be seeing the surgeon today Laura. These surgeons use a Patient care co-ordinater. These women are saleswomen who will go through the procedure with you regardless of them having no medical training at all. They may even discuss offers or a reduction in price if you book today. NEVER book babe, not even if you see the surgeon and feel on top of the world. Excitement can often rule your head so ALWAYS come home, think things through and give yourself time to digest all the information given to you.
If it's a PCC rather than the surgeon you're seeing today you may be required to come back again to see a surgeon so do be aware of that too hun.
Good luck! And I hope it goes well. Looking forward to reading how it went later. Xx

Re: surgeon consultation
Thank you, I've already seen the clinic nurse at initial consultation. I booked surgery for 31st january but they said I need to meet surgeon at least 2 weeks before and they had today or 20th January which was too close to the date I wanted xx

they actually told you you had to book a date and 'then' meet a surgeon?
which clinic is this Laura?
This is such a bloody crafty way if getting out of the 'cooling off period' getting you to book then. Xx

Re: surgeon consultation
Hmmmm I thought so.
£500 deposit up front?
Not a fan of this practise as I'm sure you can see babe. Can you imagine the thought of being bound to continue having surgery with the clinic if you hadn't have got on with the surgeon? which was always a possibility, especially if you couldn't afford to lose £500 and still wanted the op.
I'm just glad for you it worked out Louise.
Just to add babe - they WOULD have let you see a surgeon. They just said that to get you to book.
The only thing they wouldn't have done would be to book a date without a deposit. Which I think would be fair enough wouldn't it... But they've basically lied to you there babe to lock you in.

Re: surgeon consultation
The PIP's scandal. Plus they treated me dreadfully, they're your best friend until they have your money then their aftercare is non-existant. Sorry to go off on one on your thread, but it really annoys me to see women still handing over their hard earned £4000 and keeping them in business x
