Re: Picturetrail!
How do I get to see your new additions? Not sure how it all works....! I can't believe ill be going through a very similar journey to you Gleaming, in just three days.... I still can't believe I'm doing it. I suspect being run off my feet by two active children is keeping my mind from pondering for too long on the reality that awaits me! Hope you're feeling much better hun. My travel cot with zip side access arrived yesterday so now if I need to put my baby (11mo) to bed and I am sore / alone, he can crawl into this cot and have a snooze rather than me lift him :-)))

Re: Picturetrail!
Thank you :) Yeah I think I overdid things a bit yesterday so they look a bit bruised today, but they are feeling better each day, and I almost have full nipple sensitivity back in both which is a relief - my sister lost nipple sensitivity in one of her breasts after her BA 3 years ago xx

Re: Picturetrail!
Oooh stitches removed....Thankfully I didn't have to go through that, as they used dissolvable ones! It was bad enough having the dressings removed as they were stuck on so well!! I'm not usually a wuss with pain, but the whole experience made me cringe a little!!x

Re: Picturetrail!
I decided to man up and have the drains out without gas and air on day1... Cor that wasn't the best decision I've ever made... lol. I know it's gonna be hell getting the stiches removed but at least after that I'll feel more like myself again... Think a stiff drink will be in order nxt weekend lol. xx

Re: Picturetrail!
Definitely a drink will be in order. Just make sure you don't get too tiddly and fall over!!
I was also lucky then as my surgeon doesn't use drains!! I wonder why some do and some don't??x

Re: Picturetrail!
I did ask the nurse and she said more often or not it is decided during the op by the surgeon depending on blood loss... My surgeon just chooses to use them routinely as he believes they lower the risk of a post-op haematoma. I suppose it's just one of them personal practice things! They weren't too bad to be honest, just the removal that stung a little.
Lol looks like I'll only be having the one then, I'm such a lightweight with booze nowadays lol xx
