A sunbathing question Empty A sunbathing question

I have read/researched that you are not supposed to sunbathe for a year. Is it just the scars you can't get sun on?? My scars are in the creases and will be covered by a bikini - i will also put factor 50 over them as i know they can burn through clothing but is it ok to wear a bikini and go to the beach say in November (will be 4 months post op). It's far too hot here to even consider going out in the sun for the next few months but can't possibly spend our lovely winter here from November to April/May not going out in a swimsuit to the beach.

If you have been given the all clear to wear 'normal' bras and not sports bras by then, then yes you can wear a bikini. If your still in sports bras, try and get a little cropped top to put on to cover the sports bra!

You will need to put the highest factor sun cream you can find on your boobs, as because the skin has been stretched they will burn very easily! And your scars must be covered at all times hun x
