Yesterdays 'The Sun' - Positive story!!
So in yesterdays paper there was a positve story on breast implants... yes thats right POSITIVE :)
I cant find it on their website so i'll just summarise it for you so bare with me! (it was in the middle if any of you still have yesterdays paper) .
The article is about implants being on the rise again after the PIP scandal and that now, more women and asking quiestions about the quality of the implants themselves. The reporter (Christina Earle) goes to the 'UK's only breast implant manufacturer' - Nagor.
She said that she imagined them to look like 'chicken fillets' but when she arrived she couldnt have been more wrong.Douglas Beck, the sales manger showed her around. 'Each implant is made my hand to order and there are stringent safety checks along the way'. The factory say they make 75,000 a year of all different size and shapes.
'It takes twelve hours to make the shell, another twelve hours to add the gel, then three weeks are needed to ensure they're sterilised properly. Everything is done by hand'.
'The shells are put under immense pressue to test their strength. Machines attempt to stretch and misshape them, and they are filled up with water to test for leaks. 90% pass the test and move on to the next stage: filled with medical grade silicone. A hole is made in the shell and then filled with the mixture. Once filled by a syringe, the hole is closed and the implant is put in a vacuum chamber to remove air bubbles. It is then cured- amethod that ensures the implant is sealed and set-and inspected by hand.'
The implants are then sent for a three week sterilisation process. Once returned they are again inspected to make sure they have not been damaged and then sent to the surgeon.
The reporter Christina said' Walking away from the factory, im now fully satisfied that not all breast implats are dodgy like PIPS. The tour revelaed there are safe options out there-but its up to you to decided what is best for you'.
So there you go ladies! I liked that article because its rare to find a article on implants that isn't filled with doom :) Sorry it theres any spelling mistakes but ive kept the article incase any of you have any questions about it xx

Found the link HERE for you Jennifer.
Never a truer word said. Its so important to research the surgery you're having and to KNOW what's going into your body, how it'll be done and to know the surgeon doing it is fully qualified.
Taimur adds: “Many women spend more time deliberating which pair of shoes to buy, rather than which implants to go for and where to have surgery.”
