Hi there, I have round overs. My PS said there was a risk of them flipping over so the flst bottom was on the top, but I didn't ask him how common it was or how to prevent it xxx

Well if it is the same as rotating there is no way to prevent it but with rounds because it is the same shape the whole way through you shouldn't really notice x

They're not the same, they're flat on the bottom so if they flip then it's pancake boob :) x

If the pocket has been over dissected and the implant has room to flip it can happen with rounds and I've read it happen once with rounds in four years I've been online researching.

Its generally a more common complication with anatomicals lovely. Xx

lauraloubell - don't worry chick, the ps have to list the possible risks, but the stats are reassuring.. don't quote me, but my ps said that there is more chance of being knocked over by a bus (v. rare) than there is of suffering capsular contracture. He has more science behind how he feels it is caused, but it was nice to have that comparison.

I am a yoga gal - and I have anatomicals and I asked him point-blank - if I am upside-down in yoga class for a few hours a week, does that increase the risk of rotation? He said no. I said are you concerned and think I should get rounds? He said no.

He was completely and utterly confident in his expertise and technique when creating the pocket - that's the reason I chose him.

Remember why you chose yours - you trust him.

Obsess about something wonderful and bring it into your life and if your boob flips - please tell me what yoga move you are doing because it must be INSANE clap hands

Same as cookie, I've only read about it, it's very very uncommon with rounds.

Thx girls, so I will try to stop worrying as so rare. Sarah, do they know what caused yours? Is it that they were too small for you, hence the correction with larger implants? Are they doing it for free? Xxx

I'm just unlucky i had my op on friday 13th :-/

My surgeon is unsure why it flipped he says i'm his first flipper it really is very uncommon , does sound like the pocket has been made too big i have been offered 410 or 460 if he can fit them in i'm going for 460 , its getting done free of charge , i see you had 460 overs can i ask what size you are now and if they are mhp or cmh ?
