anyone had an infected stitch? Empty anyone had an infected stitch?

Hi
I am on a roll with my stitches questions this week. The area around one of my stitches (that hasn't yet dissolved!!!) has gone a little red. It isn't tender or hot just looks red. I have phoned the clinic and have an appointment for tomorrow for them to check it out but I was just wondering if this sounds like the start of an infection or just what happens as stitches dissolve. Slightly worried but I'm sure if it is a problem a course of antibiotics will do the trick.
Any thoughts?
Thanks

Hiya

My scars were scabby red all around the stitches for a good month, but its good your going to see your ps hun and like you say its probably nothing that antibiotics wont cure.

Hi
Cancelled (grrrr). They phoned me up this morning to say that they are closing early today so could I come earlier but it is my daughters 6th birthday party today and I had 25 kids coming and it is an hours drive to the clinic so I couldn't. However the stitch does look better this morning. I put savlon on it last night (clinics advice) and I don't think it is infected - it doesn't feel tender or anything. I have my 6 week check on Tuesday so unless something happens with it between now and then I'll just wait.
Thanks so much for asking - you lot are all lovely Hug
