Hi Ladies,

Feeling a bit stressed and tearful so I've come back to you lovely ladies. Had original surgery in August 11. Right has always been perfect but had revision on left on valentines day this year as was sitting very high. Now I have opposite problem. The pocket is so low I no longer have the fold under boob. The scar is now visible and I have a kind of double chin effect. Surgeon originally said that it was tight scarring, but it definately isn't. Now left boob rubs on bras on underside and from side view looks like a shelf?

I trust my surgeon, and he was brilliant regarding previous revision. I feel embarassed going back still not happy, and a bit gutted that I seem to have started a string of catastrophies! The right is so beautiful, but I'm back in my original situation of hating them out of a bra. I'm going back to see him on Wednesday.......any tips or similar experience welcome.

I know I'm going to cry in appointment as tearing up just typing.

Aww sarah - I totally sympathise with you - similar story for me.

Im certain your surgeon will be understanding - as you said he was last time - its a rubbish feeling what you said about being back to not being happy bra-less - I really thought thats how it would be always for me and had started to tell myself well at least its better than before in order to try and feel better

- but - all being well (still need a little more time to settle for me) my re-op has solved the problem and from all ive read on here these things are fixable. Its such a shame you have had hiccups along the way to your perfect pair but Im sure you will get them.

Dont feel bad about crying in your appointment - this is a very emotional journey - I think it would be hard not to - perfectly normal response so something thats so important to us.

Lots of luck for Wednesday. surely not a 3rd surgery in a year?????? 571992

Hi honey sounds like you have bottomed out, over dissection of the pocket. Do a google image on bottomed out implant see if that's what you have. If it is then it is surgeon error whilst trying to rectify your high boob. Xxx

I agree with beej babe..... go back and see your surgeon sweetness, I know having revision is such a hard thing to go through both physically and emotionally and to have to go through it all over again.... my heart just goes out to you Hug

Get yourself prepared for the surgeon babe, write every one of your concerns down, I'm sure you'll know from last time how when nerves kick in you forget to say so much, so if it's written you could always pass the notes to your surgeon rather than saying it if that helps you, also take some support hun, no matter how many times you go through this having someone to lean on makes things a whole lot easier and ensure everything you're concerned about goes in your surgeons notes too lovely.

I'm sure you're going to be just fine. You're surgeon was very understanding last time and theres no reason why he shouldn't be the same this time.

Hope all goes well babe and we're all here for you Hug xx

Thanks ladies, thought it was a bit of double bubble but now off to look at bottoming out. Pretty sure pockets been over revised. Got me thinking......do they sit you up in theatre to check work (odd thought I know).

Nothing with me has ever been straightforward. Although my surgeons great I do feel that the appts are very short, often less than 10 mins.

I'm psyched for tomorrow so watch this space

Love you guys xx

Well, it has dropped down too far, but not rediculously. Surgeon thinks that because it's still tender the tissues could still knit together so has advised a sports bra for 2 more months to hold it up so it can heal.

He said this has always worked for him in past. If not he says he can do something surgical to correct it, at no extra cost. He has been good, and I always put details in messages to his PA as to why I need appointment in case notes don't match!

Sad I have to wear SB again, at least its not sunny yet.....oh, and no running which I have just started again. Can do other exercise though.

I can't see how this will work but have to wait and see :0/

Sounds like you need to keep them boobs as stable as possible sweetie to help them heal... I know it's horrible wearing a sports bra for so long (I had to wear mine for 3 months) and you have a good attitude towards it, if it's for the best to achieve a good result you just put up with it don't you.

Pleased to read your surgeon was sympathetic and also that you've been careful to get your concerns noted with the surgeon and your surgeons PA.

Really hoping all goes well for you lovely. xxx

Dr. Pousti used Smooth Round MPP Gel Breast Implants filled with 400cc to achieve the patients desired look. Dr. Pousti positions the patient in the upright position once the implants have been placed to guarantee symmetry as well as acceptable size, shape, and placement has been achieved.

Thanks Kat and Cookie,

It's really affecting me this time. I'm feeling anxious and unhappy with my body. Keep looking at boob and feel upset. Trying to resist going back to PS and give plan a chance. Don't understand why it's so upsetting. I'm not normally so fragile.

Hey Hun xx

I know just how you feel xx That's how I was after my first op, when I knew things weren't quite right xx

Try to give this a chance, and my advice would be to limit the number of times, amount of times you look in the mirror xx

I did by looking once in the morning, and once at night for up to maybe 30 seconds each time, then nothing during the day xx

You have to try to be patient hun xx easier said than done I know xx Thinking of you Hug

Sarah, what kay says about not looking is good advice, had to do that too cos I was driving myself potty looking all the time. Feeling anxious and upset are a totally normal feelings too I would say - dont feel bad about that. Its such an emotional thing to us how we look.

Kay, Kat and Cookie,

Thankyou. I will try limit how much I look. It has improved a little since wearing sports bra, even husband said 'wow, its looking lots better'. I hate wearing it because it really restricts what you can wear. Hate the thought of going into a second summer in a revolting boulder holder :0( I am going to be patient....................

Awww I think we all go through hating our sports bras hun, but if wearing them 24/7 for your surgeons specified amount of time is what it's gonna take to get you the 'look' you're wanting then thats what we all do babe. It's a bit of a bummer sometimes, especially through the summer, but it's worth it in the long run surely not a 3rd surgery in a year?????? 184153 xx

Aww hun it sounds like a double bubble to me & will need correcting if that is the case.....

If your not happy with what your P.S has told you about the scar tissue then id suggest getting a second opinion and take it from there....if the second opinion says double bubble then you need to go back & fight to have it fixed hun, if the second opinion says the same as your ps then you need to find out what your p.s is willing to do about it...

I wouldnt be happy about being left like this & would want it corrected even if it ment having yet another op Hug

Hi crystal, better late then never.

No improvement. Still hate the look. I have shelf/ridge/double bubble, and my own breast tissue just hanging off the end of implant. It is awful!

I have appointment on thurs to check how it's healing. Surgeon said its just tight scarring, and that fold has gone because was lower in first instance but he'd not noticed before operating?

If he doesn't give satisfactory answer I am going for a second opinion. It's hard because my surgeon is the one who advises on here!

Any advice before Thursday greatly received xxxxx

Thank you lovely ladies

Hope all goes well thursday lovely. If your surgeon has admitted to not noticing a problem before operating, that that's no fault of yours babe. He is an expert in his field and should notice anything that may cause problems and if he made a mastike in not seeing it. He should then rectify that for you.

Really hoping all goes OK for you babe. Please do keep us updated. xx

Not good news. Appt was yesterday, I did go after realising! He says the only way to improve it is to do uplift that side, but that I'm borderline needing one. He said the scarring is prob not worth it. He also commented my scarring not good. They aren't, although I've had 2 or 3 ops in past 7 years and those scars are the best you could wish for. Can't help but think this is a cop out. I do feel that if he'd noticed the difference initially, I wouldn't have had such high expectations.
I will always have a shelf and a ski slope boob. Right now wishing I hadn't bothered!

How much to get a second surgeons opinion? Anyone done this?

He also gave me back his notes to keep. I'm a trained counsellor, I'm thinking this is not good practice as he's handed me his file notes!!!!!! Not all, but some

Oh Sarah, can't tell you how sorry I am to read this Hug

Did you have your surgery through Mr Davisons private clinic or was it through a larger clinic with a group of surgeon?

If it was the latter could you not request a second opinion through the clinic?
