How many follow-up appointments?

Hello ladies! Was just wondering, how many follow-up appointments have you had since your op? What is the norm?

I'm 5weeks3days post-op, and have only been to 1 post-op appointment which was on my 9th day post-op. I was supposed to have another appointment 5 weeks post-op but I had to reschedule since hubby had to go on a business trip. So my next appointment will be on my 6 week post-op (fingers crossed I get the go-ahead to wear normal bras).

Is it normal to have that little post-op appointments? Not that there's anything wrong, was just wondering...

Yep Hun most people seem to have one around a week PO to remove steri strips and 6 weeks with the surgeon. Although my surgeon said I can go back whenever I want. I had a concern with rightie and after ringing the clinic they invited me in (3 weeks PO) but that was just to out my mind at rest really xxx

I have one at 3 weeks po and then 2 months po but like Wishful can also go and see him if I need to xx

Me too lovely 1 appointment at 7 days post op for steri strips/stiches clipped and i was due one at 4 weeks but it has cum for next week instead but then i have one at 6 months too....but i too can call anytime i wish....

I had 1 week post op, 4 weeks (both with nurse) and 3 months (with surgeon) x

You will have been given a period by your clinic that would allow you to visit your surgeon any time you want free of charge within that time.

For example, I'm with Transform so I can go anytime at all to see my surgeon should I have a concern as many times as I like within that period. Other clinic may differ...

For check up... The larger commercial clinic tend to offer a post-op appointment at generally at around 1 week but this will be with the clinic nurse, then you have an appointment with your surgeon at 6 months post-op and 1 year post-op.

Smaller clinics or private surgeons you will generally only see your surgeon, you'll 'generally' see them at around 1 week post-op, then maybe 3 -6 months post-op then depending on healing you miay not need to see your surgeon again but you'll 'generally' have around a year to see your surgeon for free anytime within that period. xx
