had my 6 week check up today and everything is as it should be so far so very happy!!! have been told I can ditch the sports bra at night and also wear underwired now if i want to during the day...anyone else started wearing underwired after 6 weeks or did you wait longer? I would quite like to wear some nice proper underwear but wondering whether I should wait a bit longer xxxx

Hi Lozzied!!

Glad you had a positive consultation, puts your mind at ease just having it confirmed. Personally, I waited longer and was also advised only occassional wear of underwires due to friction on scar tissue. However, many girls have been informed different!! em-stevo was advised to wear Wonderbras, I believe to push them more central and has seen an improvement I believe. But, I think you will know if you feel comfortable wearing them.

Happy Days!! It is a great milestone when you get to the six week stage and confirmation all is well ...enjoy Hug xx

Hi,

Lucky you! I can't wait til it's my turn.

I'm sure you'll be fine hun but I know what you mean. I'm scared to touch mine incase they fall off!!!

You've waited so long, if they say it's okay I'd say go for it if you feel comfortable!!

my surgeon told me i could wear normal bras after 4 weeks but i thought that was too early, i have worn an underwired bra to work today and yesterday to try it and its felt fine and not rubbed at all, but i changed into my sports bra once i got home and am still sleeping in my sports bra.....its great to wear a normal bra and they make you look so much bigger and makes you feel more feminine. x x x

hey lovely, the girls have given you good advice. I think the main thing is if you start to ache then jump back into your sports bra.
