6 Week Appointment

Hello girlies, I've got my 6 week appointment coming up on Thursday and I just wondered if any of you could share your experience? I think my PS is adorable so I don't want to do anything to embarrass myself

My main question is actually about steristrips...I'm due to change them a day before the appointment. Now presumably he's going to want to look at my incisions so should I just leave the strips on an extra day or change them when I'm supposed to and let him rip them off early? I hate pulling them off normally so I can imagine its going to be worse if they've been on for just a few hours

Also, I wanted to ask him briefly about another procedure. Would it be really rude to bring this up at my appointment? My logic is that if I'm already seeing him it would be better to ask a quick question then than book a whole consultation with him and be wasting his time.

Finally! This is really cringey, but have any of you girls got a photo with your PS and is this as terrible an idea as it sounds? I want to put a pic of me and the man who made me happy on my Facebook and definitely not on my wall

Also I feel I should mention it's my 6 week appointment but its taking place after 4 weeks as Mr. Richards is going to be on holiday afterwards. That's the life!

Hardly any of my FB friends know I've had a boob job and I'd like it to stay that way so that to me is the stuff of nightmares!!!!!!!

But if your situation is different, which it sounds like it is, and if it will make you happy then go for it.

I might be wrong here but it sounds like you have a bit of a crush on your PS. Sorry if I've got the wrong end of the stick. If you do, please don't post the photo in order to become fb friends with your PS. If you fancy him just ask him out for a drink!!! He might not be able to go because of various dr rules but at least then you know where you stand xx

I only have 30 something Facebook friends so most people on there know anyway. I don't add anyone I don't know closely. Makes everything much easier!

You can ask about the photo - might want to check he's having a good hair day though it could be a deciding factor lol. I wanted a picture of implants but I didn't dare ask... We're a bit like tourists haha.

As for discussing your other procedure unless it involves more breast surgery I'd probably make another appointment or ring the clinic and discuss this to see of they can give your appointment a bit more time. You want to be able to focus on this procedure and taking in what you can and can't do/any instructions he has so you don't want to feel rushed at all :)

I asked questions about the future, when to expect a re-op, what to do about scars, going without a bra etc but that was my 3 month the first time I saw him since PO (just had the nurse at 6 weeks) x

I asked for the photo....

I would have asked my surgeon for a photo but apparently when i woke up in the recovery room i declared my love for him in front of everybody. I have no recollection of this but the nurse told my boyfriend and now i just feel really awkward

So be honest.... you've already framed a copy, haven't you?

All i remember from the recovery room was being asked if i was ok and then being too out of it to understand the rest. Think i'll have to photoshop myself into a picture with him.
I wonder if there are many people who ask for photos...

Hehe! Do you have yearly check ups? I have them with mine so he can never escape me hahaha...

If you do you could ask for a photo then! He might have forgotten your declaration of undying love !

I don't think any people have asked for a pic with my surgeon! He seemed really confused at what I was asking for then when he realised I wanted a picture with him he got all excited! He even took the clock off the wall (what he's holding) so it didn't ruin the picture!

I agree with the older men thing. I love older men and doctors/anyone in a position of authority, so being a Mr Richards admirer was BOUND to happen....

He may be an older man for all you lovely youngsters but he is not an "older" man for me as I am getting on a bit too xx

God, when I woke up, I announced loudly that I needed a wee, then had 4 wees in a row. The first two were bedpans as I'd literally just woken, then they ran out of those and had to help me to the toilet (twice). They all thought I was a bit odd and kept asking me if i usually needed to wee this much! Oh the shame...
