Hi Girls,

I have my pre-op screening tomorrow with the nurse, can anyone tell me what happens? I know you have to have a blood test (sooo nervous about that - never had one). What else?

Thanks :) xx

Idk I think they're all different, I had a blood test, and she asked me what meds I took and if I have any allergies. I also did sizing at that session.

But over here it's prob different than UK.

good luck hunni!

Hi girls, can I ask a silly question.... if they don't take a blood test, how do they know what blood group you are if something goes wrong and you need extra blood or something? Pre-op Screening 267328 I have no idea what blood group I am.... ??

I'm pretty sure they definitely take a blood test at some point? Did they tell you they wouldn't be? Over here, they also test to make sure you're not preggers.

I went today, had blood pressure, weight, height, medical questions, and pics taken... I did ask about if something goes wrong, and she said they will use universal blood which will be fine until I need the same blood group, in which they will take blood to see what I am..... no preggers test, she asked me when my last period was though... defo not!!! :)

Well I think there's hardly any blood in these ops, and they're like nowhere near any arteries or anything....so they probably feel like it's SO unlikely to happen that they don't bother.

11 days are you so excited!!!???? I loved that time!!

You may not need to sparkyleeds, since it seems not everyone gets tests - probably because it's so unlikely you'll need blood!! Pre-op Screening 48411

I don't think you would need blood tests hun maybe you could phone to double check, but it does seem not many of us have the blood tests.

I think you're doing the right thing with 410cc. I don't know your body size, but I did 375 and wish I'd done at least 400cc.

After 2 months it's really amazing, about 2 weeks ago I was still feeling a bit like they were "on" me, but now it's like they're a total part of me. I still LOVE them, and it's like I've always had them!! It's weird, the whole process seems like it went so quickly!!
