Tanning question Empty Tanning question

Post by POTCHIE123 2nd April 2011, 5:11 pm

Hello again ladies.
I was just wondering if I could tan before my BA? I know I have to keep the girls out of the sun afterwards but before? I'm having it done on May 13.

I'm pretty sure, but not positive, that you have to be very careful for a while about getting any sun on your scars and use total sun block on them, think it's for a year. You need to wait until your incisions are healed and you get the all clear for using lotions/creams on your scars, but you could do a spray tan as long as you cover your incisions.

Girlies- I am THE ultimate tanner (sunbed, fake tan and sun hahaha) I was told no sunbeds or fake tan 2 weeks before my BA and absolutley no sun on the scars for over a year! She said 8 weeks after ba I can have a sunbed so long as my boobs and cuts are covered!xxxx

I was also told no tanning beds 2weeks before my BA once I started tanning after I healed I would have to keep them covered at all times as to not do anymore damage to the scars!!
Hope this helps Hun!

My surgeon told me to keep scars out of the sun for at least a year, and take extra care with thin clothing and when lying down, ie on a sunbed (coz your bikini might ride up. I presume it's the same for sunbeds. At the end of day, it's new skin so I'm gonna treat it like I would my baby's!
