BA Tomorrow! What can't I do?

OK. So I have just read a thread about not being able to swallow water when brushing teeth. I don't usually do this anyway (the swallowing water bit, not the brushing teeth bit) but it has lead me to a whole new world of questions I didn't even think of to ask.
So We're not allowed to drink anything? At all? My BA is tomorrow morning at 8am. I have cut down massively already but I am not going to smoke for the next few weeks (hopefully this will catch on and I'll never do it again), and I know I am not allowed to eat 6 hours before surgery. I also have to take my tongue and nipple rings out. But what else can I not do??? How did I not know this. Perhaps the nurse told me and it went straight over my head? I've been so panicked/excited/nervous, I wouldn't be surprised if I have been told 10 times already.

Hi, I'm in tomorrow too! getting very nervous now...
You can't wear any makeup, perfume, body creme, deoderant, nail varnish or fake nails.
I'm so glad my cab is picking me up at 6.15am so no neighbours have to see the state i'll be. I can drink up to 4 hours before surgery but considering I don't know exactly what time i'll be going to theatre I wont drink at all when i wake up.
Not happy that i can't have my normal cuppa to get me started in the morning but it's a small price to pay!

Hay hun,
You should have been given a letter or booklet of info at your pre-op that tells you what time to stop eating, drinking ect..........the nurse on the day will come in and ask you to remove all piercings and jewellery ect so dont worry to much.
Like i say they should have given you all the info as they cant just tell you and exspect you to remeber it!

That's true Crystal, I got quite a bit of info with various tips, advice and what to do before the op. very useful it was too.

I'm so scared. I have had 1 cigarette today and am now panicked that they won't operate on me! My boyfriend will be home later as well and he smokes like a chimney so not smoking is going to be so hard.
I am more than happy to not put make up or body lotion on as I am pretty lazy anyway but the no tea or deodorant is going to kill me!!

Don't worry I didn't even remember to bring my home from my pre op!
I got told No garlic smoking deo eating drinking vitamins painkillers moisturizers. Ermmmm that's all I can remember xxxx

No garlic??? No way. I live for garlic. This is getting harder by the minute!

Every clinic is different but yeah I got told no garlic for 48 hours before hand....
It can reduce your blood pressure and give a false reading.xxxx
