Tubular Breasts
Hello,
I was wondering what stages should be carried out for the treatment of tubular breasts.
I have slightly tubular breasts and was wondering how possible it is to get completely rid of this tubular shape, mine are simular to the photos on this page Here
I understand they will need to lower the crease, but as in the after photos above the breasts are still snoopy looking.
Would the constriction of the nipples also need to be treated?
Thanks.

Re: Tubular Breasts
Hay hun we are in the Forum Surgeons Section.
I wasn't sure who would be the 'best' surgeon to ask, I have done a search and PM'ed some of the girls who have had the op on tubular breasts - I think I will also post in the main forum to see if there are any more.
I am going for a consultation 1st March so wanted to look out for what they should be saying and doing!
Thanks for the reply x

Re: Tubular Breasts
Hi there
The tubular breast is often a tricky one to crack!
In essence the base of the breast is often too small in all dimensions and breast tissue can even be missing in places. The fold under the breast usually needs lowering and the nipple "herniation " needs repairing. Several techniques are described depending upon the severity of the problem. Unfortunately I dont have access to your pictures or I could be more specific. The main thing for you is to see someone who has done a lot of these and not just a surgeon who is putting in lots of simple implants all the time. It is a very much more complex procedure and may take more than one operation to get the best result for you. I would suggest a plastic surgeon with a reconstructive practice as well, as the breast needs to be viewed in this rather more complex way. I hope this helps. If you have any concerns following your consultation, or further questions just post me back again.

Re: Tubular Breasts
Thank you for the reply.
The surgeon I am seeing does Cosmetic, Reconstructive and Plastic Surgery. So hopefully she will know her stuff! She was Voted one of the Best Top 10 Leading Breast Cancer Specialist Surgeons in the UK......
The first consultation I went to with another surgeon recognized I had tubular breasts but was just going to put an implant in- I feel they need a bit more than this.
I will see how it goes 1st March and if I need another opinion I will put some photos up on picture trail, if your able to view them on that.
Thanking you again! :good:

Hi Again
A very sensible choice of surgeon - I am sure you will get a good opinion and a realistic idea of what can best be achieved in your case.
I hope all goes well for you.
Best wishes
