Morning girls!! Just got a couple of questions for anyone that can help!
Has anyone used sunbeds post-ba?? I'm only 2 and a half weeks post op at the mo but I'm hoping to have a few sunbeds before I go on holiday in 3months time!? Obviously I would cover my scars but has anyone had any bad effects from going on one post-ba?? Also if anyone has any advice on sun exposure in general that wud be great!!

I also wondered who has used bio oil for their scars?? How long did u wait before using it? My scars are looking great at the moment but I definitely want to give the oil a try for best results!!

And last question... I rele want a ticker on my posts!! Lol how do I get one please?

I didn't use bio oil but you need to wait until your scars are fully healed before you use it. Thats usually around the 6week mark but do check with your clinic first.

I used sunbeds at 6 weeks and covered my scars and whole boob area, the skin has been streched so it will be sensitive to the UV's.

iv been using the sunbed since 6 weeks po but put steri strips over the scars, did forget a couple of times and just used my finger....lol.....
i think you are supposed to keep the scars covered for a good 6-12 months as they can end up darker if exposed...

A ticker is a way of tracking your ba dates or another event, you'll see them at the bottom of most of the posts on here hun. x

Hee hee Jojo, I use the winkies too! I keep forgetting to take plasters, so i rip the winkies in half and use them for my eyes and my scars. I've tanned as I always do, although I've had implants after beast feeding and my boobs are smaller than my breastfeeding boobs so dont need to worry about stretched skin.

Thanks everyone, glad to hear no one has had any horror stories from using sunbeds after surgery!! Im not the biggest fan of fake tan and i was worried i'll be pale forever!! Lol...The winkies is a great idea!! Haha

To get a ticker just go here (although there are others available if you don't like any of the designs here).
Fill in your date and then your event type (eg "I get my new boobies" - the first part is automatically added i.e X weeks Y days until), it then walks you through the process of choosing the background and the marker and finally gives you the different codes for different sites - it is important that you choose the BB Code option as this is the one which works on BJSF. Copy the code and then go to your profile on BJSF (it's towards the top of every page) and select the 'Signature' option from the tabbed headers. In the Edit box in that section, simply paste the code which you copied into it. It will then appear under every post which you make from that moment and will update itself automatically.

Ive just started using sunbeds last week and ive kept my bikini top on with the straps down just. Im still too scared to tan topless.. frightened ill burn/hurt my boobies and im nearly one year PO. Still.. i need a basetan as im going to Tenerife on tues and dont wanna look like a milk bottle lol!x

Hi hun, i would wait at least 6 weeks before going on a sunbed and when you do make sure you cover your scars well. I use those stick on eye goggles on my scars as I know it will completely block the UV rays x
