Hi ladies!

Hope your all doing well and enjoying your new assets, or your journey leading up to having them?! clap hands

So as the title reads, I'm wondering about wired bras, as you can tell by my AVI I've not ended up short on the cleavage front lol, although in my AVI I am wearing a wire fee bra that pushes them together quite a lot... But even without they are pretty close together, so much so that I've completely avoided wearing any type of wired bra apart from a plunge bra with low wires (in fact most of the time I wear Calvin Klein bralettes to avoid wires altogether). I'd love to be able to wear a balconette bra, or just a standard bra but the wires push into my boobs and I'm scared of them damaging my implants and causing them to rupture. Is this a possibility or am I over thinking it, I'm not certain how tough these things actually are? I had my year review with my surgeon a couple of weeks ago and I meant to ask him about it but got so tangled up with how pleased he was with my result, like a numpty I completely forgot to ask him!

Any one else got this problem? Thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

P.s I have tried googling it but all I seem to get is answers about wires rubbing on scars as opposed to causing damage/ ruptures.

i dont believe the wires can damage the implant, when i went for my consult the PC jumped up and down on them, i believe a 4x4 can also drive over them with no negative outcome,
all the best

No I don't think I'd want someone jumping up and down in them either haha, but good to know thanks!!

Might just give them a try then and see if I can grin and bare them digging into me for a while :-) xxx

I reckon they're a lot stronger than we realise - I know I'll def be worried about everything at first. But I'm sure you'll be fine with wires.

You'll be totally fine with wires - no way they'd cause a rupture.  On the contrary they offer great support - all the better for those big pups!

I got told by my surgeon to buy an underwired sports bra for running as he thinks they are better for support.

I wear them nearly every day - no damage or ruptures yet and they are comfortable too once you get used to it.

although i do love my asda wireless bras @ £6,they give great support with a foam underband, i have a rupture and for some reason wearing wires on the affected side really aches, and rubs my scar, although i still get mondors chord that side too,so might be why it aches

Thanks ladies. It's the end of the wires at the front that I mean, they pRoper dig in my boobs and make me sore. Underneath round the scars etc is absolutely fine x

I get the same in some bras, not that I have much cleavage still, need a really good plunge for that but o have found trying different sizes help plus it's just allowing yourself to get used to them

They wont harm healed and settled boobs but if they dig in you are definitely in the wrong size! The wires shouldn't sit on any breast tissue. I would go to bravissimo for a proper fitting and tell them about your experience of wires so far. I'd put money on you needing a smaller band and much bigger cup xx
