I just had a call from Transform, they have had to postpone my surgery because they only just got my thyroid results back and apparently my levels were too low. I have had underactive thyroid for 10 years and it's been under control with thyroxine since. My GP rang last week and said the result was a bit low, but if I felt OK I could stay on the same dose. I feel fine so that's what I chose to do. Transform say I have to have another blood test and I can't get a test and the results anywhere by Wednesday afternoon. I've called all the private blood places and been to my doctor surgery. I'm so gutted sad smile

I've had to cancel so much work and organise other people to take time off work to give me lifts, and booked train tickets and taxis. UGHHH!!!!

Need some encouragement over here.

Oh no I'm so sorry to here this. Surely the should of let you no sooner so you could of got the test done.

Awww big hugs - that is rubbish news.  I'd be devastated so I can imagine how crap you feel.  Like you say its not just that you were really looking forward to it but also that you've planned your life around it all.

BUT - everything happens for a reason and if they don't feel safe to go ahead incase it causes medical complications then its probably best they are erring on the side of caution.  I know this probably doesn't help you now but the new boobs can wait a tiny bit longer and I'm sure Transform would do their very best to fit you in as quickly as possible once you get the all clear.  Chin up - you will get there - it may only be a matter of days you are postponed for - fingers crossed!! xx

I'm with you on the "everything happens for a reason" thing! It's just such a nightmare that my partner doesn't drive it makes everything much more complicated.

I feel so bad for you!!! Mine is in 5 weeks and I've already got all my plans in place so I can't even imagine how furious I'd be if it was postponed. Really feel for you, I hope everything sorts out and the rescheduling won't be too far away x

Oh no :( I wonder if your go wrote a fit for surgery letter if if would make a difference. I have a low thyroid but was never told that if my bloods came back low I couldn't have surgery! It takes six weeks for a change of meds to show in your system so rushing the blood test won't make a difference I'm afraid xx

I had another blood test yesterday, this time at Transform. If the results come back good, then I'm booked in for next Thursday 12th!! But I won't know until Monday or Tuesday so booking my train tickets and taxis for 6am is going to be a nightmare!! UGHHH!! This is all making me so stressed disappoint
