Hi everyone, i'm new...
Had been referred by my GP and just come back from my appointment with the plastic surgeon who said he's happy to refer me to the psychologist, but did say there is little chance of funding. He said my boobs are very deflated (from breast feeding) anyone else in the same situation, or been there? I'm really not holding my breathe x

Re: Hi everyone, i'm new...
Welcome to BJSFS babe
My boobs were effected from breast feeding hun along with many others here sweetie so I know how you feel
I do think given the crack down on funding now, the effects of breast feeding on your breasts might be a hard one to get the funding for and I suspect it may only be available to those born with breast deformaties hun, so I do wish you a whole ton of luck getting your surgery.
Best of luck hun and do let us know how you get on. xx

Thanks everyone. I got a letter from the surgeon the other day saying he has asked for special funding through cosmetic tribunal...so I am thinking I will not have to go and see the psychologist...still not getting my hopes up lol xx

Hi Rachemsi...wow well done! Was it a long process for you? Where abouts are you from? Please don't say Scotland lol x
I did get another letter last week....it's an appointment to see a Psychologist who works within the plastic surgery team. I'm dreadding it! I found it strange that the surgeon has already put it to the PCT...not heard yet though. I'm in Hertfordshire and had to see the surgeon at Watford hospital, but for the Psychologist I have to go to London Royal Free Hospital.

Re: Hi everyone, i'm new...
Hi has anyone been referred in Leeds? I've literally just received my booking reference number and password yesterday and waiting for them to contact me. My letter says if I haven't heard by 26th of this month I should chase them up but how far away am I? I'm getting excited here but reading this makes me feel far away because my Dr told me it was approved :-L confused? Help please :) xx

Re: Hi everyone, i'm new...
hey hun
yeah unfortunatly was quite a long process it took 3 years from first visiting my doctor. i think it very much depends on the area you live im leeds/bradford area. like the others have said they have clamped down quite alot on he funding but hopefully you will get through.

Aww thanks...how r u feeling post op?
The appointment went really well, the lady was lovely practically answering everything for me! I worked it out the pct should be having their meeting around about today so I'm really wondering when I'll hear anything and I'm dreading getting a 'no'. where abouts are u from?

oh no im so sorry, do you think you'll just try and save up yourself now? i remember the dread waiting for my answer, my hubby was completely convinced they would say no and i think was prepared for me asking to take out a loan in the future to do mine, fortunately i was very lucky.
Good luck for whatever you do xxxx
