Possible to tell when the Implant ruptured?

Hey as you know i have a rupture in my right breast implant, I've had a copy of my ultrasound results & it say its an Extra Capsular silicone leak, which means the silicone has leaked out of the capsule & into breast tissue ect. An Inter Capsual leak would be when the silicone has ruptured but still in the Capsual that forms round the implant. Was wondering if anyone knows if you can tell how long ago a implant ruptured? as i am out of my 5 year warranty & if it ruptured in the 5 years, I may be under guarantee still. Thanks xx

I don't think there's any way of knowing until the implant is removed, and even then there'd be a wide margin for error. Was there any obvious symptoms from it? Pain, disfigurement?

Thanks for the reply, the breast with the ruptured implant looks slightly smaller & a different shape. I have read on the internet most leaks stay intercapsular & with time can turn Extracapsular.
