Yeah i see this as i was coming round in my room from just having my PIP's out . Random lol
still dont think there has been enough research to say they are safe with no long term health effects. how can they be sure when they have only tested for a few months

I think they've been doing tests since they were banned, but how that proves they will have no long term side affects I dont know as it's been no where near long enough.

totally agree and feel anyone with PIP's should get them out asap. No way near enough time for anyone to say they are safe 
id still say keep an eye on yourselfs and check regular for any changes or strange symtoms especally those who had bleeds and ruptures :-( . sure i heard some have chosen to keep them in wether thats right or wrong no idea. ?

At my post op yesterday my surgeon thinks there is something in them thats not right. He has been involved with various people looking into the effect of the silicone so I was asked some questions about my health since removal and he was not surprised at my answers. For months before removal of pips I had been feeling tired a lot of the time,falling asleep in the day time, I also had aching joints and generally just not right. I did have a lot of silicone bleed of the implants ,since their replacement I have been fine with my health. A coincidence ? I dont think so

The more I hear about PIPs, the more sickened I am at the treatment women with PIPs have been given 
To admit there may be health problems would be financial catastrophe! I think everyone is terrified to lay blame anywhere else but a bankrupt company with no further comebacks! Its disgusting!
Interesting to see Wales are offering free implant replacements - Good on them! At least Wales can honestly say they care for their people and their health and saftey, unlike England and Scotland, who have no care of the psychological damage it's going to do to a women to remove the implant only
EVERYONE, EVERYWHERE, should be given free implant replacement after having PIPs and shame on all of those clinics that have charged for the replacements. xx

In Wales the NHS will also replace those of private patients while in
England and Scotland the NHS will remove implants of private patients
but not replace them.

Hmm, rather not risk it! I live in Wales so I could have had mine replaced for free but it was 2 operations, so I chose to go private again. HMG wanted nearly £4,500 to replace them so I went to the THG who were doing replacement at a discounted rate. My ps was amazing so even though I had to pay again, it was so worth it x

I have just looked on THG website. Was it a special offer to you, or is this offer for anyone with PIPs?
My wife has them and I just want her to get them replaced. I don't think we should have to pay for it, but I just want to be safe.

No the offer is to anyone with PIP's, I also get an additional £200 knocked off as I was in the waiting room waiting for 2 hours after my appointment time and I got a bit moody about it lol x

Its all very well saying the implants are not a health issue but what happens in 10-15 years time when the silicone has been sitting in ur armpit. When i heard about women having golf ball size lumps form i made up my mind that i wouldnt waste any more time having scans and that i would pay the £2750 to have them out. I'm am lucky in that i have borrowed £2000 from my work paying back £40 a nth so i won't really notice it
