Had my BA - NHS 27th April!!!
Hi Girls!
Just wanted to share my NHS success.
I was referred to a specialist in January and had my op this Tuesday 27th April!!
I have assymetry and tubular breasts so was able to get it done by NHS.
Was meant to be done Monday and it was changed last minute, but I am so happy that it is done.
I have had the implant under on the left side (which is the larger, more normal breast) and a partial under on the right (which is/WAS :-D smaller and more tuberous with very constricted tissue underneath). My surgeon also did a special cutting technique on the right side so that the breast will stretch over time. so they look different at the moment... will know real results in a few months time - then I may need an uplift on the right side too.
We will see!!! I'm just so happy and wanted to share with you my success.
Yay!!! xxx

Ahhh congratulations to you, glad everything went well for you.
Rest up lots and enjoy the changes that will take place to give you your lovely boobies.
Just out of interest, which NHS hospital did you have it done in??

Re: Had my BA - NHS 27th April!!!
Thanks for your replies girlies!!
I was at University Hospital in Coventry.
I was very apprehensive as it is a cosmetic procedure I wasn't sure how the staff would be with me but they were all AMAZING :-)
They were so kind and attentive.
From the moment I got there - every department was brilliant. I was so nervous and kept babbling on about not wanting wake up in the middle of the op!! ( I know... very weird phobia I had) But they just kept reassuring me.
I was on a ward with 3 other women - none of them in for my procedure - it was just a post surgery ward... I had to stay the longest though due to a high temp, 48 hour drains due to the cutting technique, and a high resting heart beat. But they really looked after me and wouldn't let me home til it was safe to do so.
So very happy :-) xx

Re: Had my BA - NHS 27th April!!!
hiya! thats so great that you have finally had your op-and it all seems to have happend so quickly!
im a bit worried about the kind of treatment that i will/might get through the NHS due to the fact that when it boils down to it, for whatever reason, it is a cosmetic treatment-so im really glad to hear that they treated you so well!
do you mind me asking what your post op stats were?
xx

Re: Had my BA - NHS 27th April!!!
I am size 10, wearing 32a bra... although as they were different they didn't really fit!! I'm 5' 2".
He put 260cc implants in... I went mad when I found out they were the same cc as they are diff size boobs... and he had said originally they would be diff size implants... however they were placed differently and using different techniques.
He said... and this is really freaky --
THEY SAT ME UP WHILE I WAS UNDER TO CHECK THE SIZE OF THE IMPLANTS WAS GOOD!!!!
How weird is that?!?!?!!!!
So i have 260cc in both sides - which i still find a little odd... but they look similar - which is a vast improvement. lol
Now bursting out of my 34d medical z bra and need to get a bigger cup size. i'm sooo swollen :-( xxx

awww hunni, the swelling will go down soon!
yup! the whole sitting you up this is VERY freaky lol! omg, i bet you felt reeeeeeeally wierd when they told you that! but at least they were checking that the results would have been what you wanted!
did you have any imput into what size they were doing etc etc? did they ask you what kind of look you wanted to achieve?
BTW 34d-bet that feels so good to have a bra that size, its quite upsetting when i dont even fill a 36aa....but at least im now on my way to one day being able to pic up a bra that will fit! lol

34 D - Yes - It certainly is a weird feeling - in fact I still think I'm dreaming
I didn't get any imput into the sizing - in fact - I said to him (which is true) I don't want big boobs - I just want NORMAL boobs...
to which he said 'I'll do my best!' ha ha - he said I have to accept mine will never look perfect.
No imput in to the look either - to be honest I hadn't thought about that! how funny! I just wanted them to look the same - even if they were an A cup. ha xxx

Re: Had my BA - NHS 27th April!!!
Pinkprincess - have you tried PURLZ?
I got mine from america and wore them all the time.
They are shaped and sized just like implants and you just wear them in a sports bra. Its what I have on in my profile pic. I have a cleavage on that pic and I NEVER had one before ha.
Let me know as soon as you get more info on your op - really hoping for the best for you xxx

I've seen this done when I've watched boob job ops on the telly. I would imagine it's the best way to check they are both the same. xx
