Well ladies, 2 weeks ago i wrote to the health secretary direct in the Scottlish Parliment. Well I got a email back from her secretary saying that Nicola Sturgeon had read my letter and has got in contact with Lothian NHS direct and I had to wait from contact from them.

Well i got it today. I got an email with an attatched offically letter stating that my complaint had been looked at from the direct of the hospital and has now been passed on to the director of the nhs lothian regarding my complaint and they way this has been delt with.

this will either one of two ways. they will either search for my old notes and notice that i was originally offered two implants and give that offer to me again, or they will go completely against me and still refuse.

i am just wanting this over with now and i am fed up being left in limbo over it all.

thank you ladies. I am trying to stay positive about the whole thing but I am all to aware of the NHS.

They did say between 20 days but 25 at the most to get my formal decision in writing. So the decision will come just before my birthday x

I have the previous letter with my appointment details back in 2007 as well as a booklet they gave me on breast surgery, my gp got my previous gp files which had a letter from the first surgeon stating that once my family was complete i was to get re-refered to see a surgeon regarding "operation for implants in the breasts to fix asymmatry (sp?) problem".

I feel so guilty for fighting for this on the nhs. But i have spent the last 2 yrs getting on with life knowing that they were going to fix the problem and since they said just the one implant my life has been so different and i hate it, they ripped me of the person i was just in those few words.

If they still say no i will just sell my husband on ebay and hopefully raise a bit of cash lol xx

All the best lovely, hopefully the best decision will come out of this.

The way I see it, we pay for our whole lives for the NHS, so you deserve the treatment to make you happy.

Hi Sars3dd hun

Have you been able to look at your medical records personally? If you haven't please do,then you will be able to make your own copy of the part where it states you can have 2 implants, just in case it "goes missing".
If your GP won't let you make official copies then take a sneaky pic with a camera phone!

thank you ladies. I shouldn't have to long left to wait for the letter to come through the door and if they still say just the one implant then its back to GP, another appointment with a different hospital and also complaining to the next level. I haven't slept right for the last 5months and i am now completely drained. xx
