Fat injections!
To cut a long story short, I have had quite slot of re-op in an on going 3 year breast augementation.
1st re-op was infection, implant worked it's way out. Removed for 3months.
Reinserted but pockets made to small implants didn't move.
Scar revision and again didn't drop scars was on ribcage.
And again still no different and muscle distortion.
This surgeon has had 3 attempts and still they look awful, my scars are very messy and long, they don't sit in crease my boobs are very square looking and my cleavage gap u can get a bus through. I also now have really bad cleavage rippling that is very visible with or without a bra!!
He now suggests injecting fat from my tummy and love handles into my breasts and again scar revision.. But he just don't seem to get the overal look of my breast Are horrible.. I have had nothing but hassle for 3 years and kind of regret ever getting my boobs done...
Is this fat injecting quite common, am I best of getting a second opinion from a different company?? Thank s xxx

Re: Fat injections!
Hi Ruby Roo.
So sorry to hear about the issues that you've been having. I might be completely off the mark here but I was under the impression that this was relatively new in the UK and has come across from the States over the past couple of years where it's more common. I know that HMG are looking to do it in the future, but I'm not sure if they've started yet.
Good luck with what ever you decide to do. Fingers crossed that it all gets sorted this time round x

Re: Fat injections!
Hey sweetie, I'm really sorry to hear about your surgeon :(
Fat injections are something i was going to look into, but i didn't because I don't really have much fat to transplant!
I think they can be good, but your body can just be like 'why's this fat here?' and reabsorb it. Or it can get 'calcified' where it gets a little hard lump in (harmless but will be scary anyway)
To be honest, I'd ask to see a different surgeon within the company -after 3 goes I certainly wouldn't let that man near me again! If you do it within the company i think you won't have to pay out for it.
Hope it goes well whatever you decide to do
xx

Re: Fat injections!
Yeah iv never heard of it either!! And I don't have to much fat either but he reckons I have enough!! That surgeon has had 3 attempts and my pervious surgeon had 3 attempts too lol!! It's been an absolute nightmare to be honest!! Yes iv decided this to and he will not be touching my body again!!!
I'm waiting on a formal reply, as iv had to take my pervious care and ops further with the company!! So will just have to sit and wait now!! Just hope I get my perfect boobs for one summer at least xxx

Re: Fat injections!
Aw, it sounds rubbish :(
If he thinks you need a fat transplant to cover the implant - surely you should have unders?
I think you should ask to see someone with experience in reconstruction. I don't know what your boobs are like now, but even a standard replacement is a different operation to unoperated boobies.
so you've had 6 ops??! That's crazy, you must be so fed up

Re: Fat injections!
Yeah I already have unders, but get terrible muscle distortion with it!! Yeah I'm at my wits end with it all the amount of stress and money it's caused me, I don't think I can really afford to pay and go else where otherwise I would!! Xxx

Re: Fat injections!
I think the fat injections are quite new in the UK too, I seem to remember hearing on the radio, in the last year or so, about the joint lipo/boob job op where there take fat from one place and use it on your boobs.
I would also not be wanting these surgeons anywhere near me - maybe their compensation (surely you are entitled to lots) will cover your expenses elsewhere? I have a friend who recommends a surgeon in Essex who is a reconstructive surgeon who specialises in post cancer patients, I wanted to see him for my op but it was too inconvenient location wise, I guess location would be an issue for you too.

Re: Fat injections!
This procedure is quite new in the uk, although there are some women that have had it many years ago, but the body can reject the fat and it can disperse else where leaving large lumps of fat, this is coming from my pcc who had a consultation with a lady that had this and she was having to corrective surgery. If its done correctly they do believe this will overtake breast implants in many years to come.

Re: Fat injections!
I pursued this as my first option, and had 2 consults with The Private Clinic, one with a nurse the second with a surgeon, it turned out not to be an option for me because it wouldn't correct my tuberous breasts and also they were concerned about graft rejection due to certain health problems I have (totally unfounded) So I went on to have BA and lipo. Yes it is relatively new to the UK, the company I went with were the only ones doing it/trained to do it and HMG were in the process of training their surgeons. They say the average is a 50% take and a 50% reabsorption, though everyones different so you could get a higher % of fat take. Here's the company, info and pics: http://www.theprivateclinic.co.uk/treatments/breast-augmentation/
I've often thought post op if I could just fill out certain areas I'd be a bit happier,so I think it would be option to consider, but it's your body and totally up to you if you want to go through the process again. I was told it would be done under local and could take a few hours because of how the process the fat in a centrefuge etc.
I hope you get the boobs you deserve
