Extremely frightened
Hi there,
I had my silicone breast implants 3 years ago but have been having problems with the left one for about 2 years. After the first year I started getting discomfort in that breast and down the back of my arm, but the breast appeared normal with no shape change or any obvious defect. I Suppose I should of been to see my surgeon then but I thought it would pass and was normal. However, 3 years now and I am having real problems with it. I get pain in my breast near the cleavage and when I press on it it feels strange. I get a burning sensation and chest pains behind the left breast and down the back of my left arm and in my back on the left. Also I have been finding it hard to breath as if my lung is finding it hard to inflate on the left side and also I can feel a lump when I press on the bottom of my left ribcage. I am terrified of what is going on as I have read that silicone can get into your lungs and other major organs. What could be causing these symptoms? is it possible it is silicone that has leaked?
Thanks in advance,
Emily.

Re: Extremely frightened
No, I'm going on my own as I don't feel I can ask my partner to come. I just feel like it's my own fault as I wanted the implants and don't want to burden him. Plus I have 3 kids and don't want to ask anyone to look after them as they will ask questions. Can't face it to be honest. I will come back on later and let you know whats going on. Thanks so much for your reply x

Re: Extremely frightened
I understand hun.I had a couple of probs after my opp and the guilt ate me up.But then try and look back to the reason you did I know I was so unhappy and my kids picked up on it.I know things are crap now but it will all be worthwhile anyway who knows what the surgeon will say. I will look out for you reposting later on xx Good luck fingers, toes and boobies crossed xx

Re: Extremely frightened
You are doing the best thing by going to see a professional, as PeggySue says there is no point in guessing. The sooner you see someone the sooner they can put your mind at rest, fix it, do whatever is needed to get you back to being happy and comfortable.
