Regular scans or not?
Hi there,
I have a question about having scans after your BA. I
had my operation just over 2 years ago and I was wondering what your
view was about having regular scans to detect if there are any ruptures.
Do you advice your patients to have a potential CT,MRI etc scan every
couple of years to check the state of your implants or to leave it
longer?
Thank you,
Georgie.

Re: Regular scans or not?
I was told by Mr Meleagros that I should have scans every 3 years I think - it was on the piece of paper he gave me with all the info he ran through - I will try and remember to dig it out and report back

Sorry for the delay, finally dug out all the bits of paper I was given so I can check I have everything ready for Saturday. According to the notes Mr M gave me it is recommended you have a scan every 3 years to check for ruptures. Hope that helps x

I was told every 3 years too and I think you can go to your gp and ask for one and I think you have to pay. Or you can go to private hospitals and pay them to do it xx

Re: Regular scans or not?
I think you have to pay as my friend who has PIPs has to pay to go for a scan to check hers out given everything that is going on. It's not cheap but worth it for the peace of mind I guess.
