Silicon filled Lymph nodes
Has any one had their lymph nodes removed after having to have their PIPs removed? (Especially if it was by The Hospital Group.) Did they do the implant removal and lymph nodes under the same anesthetic, one operation? THG wont do my lymph nodes - says the surgeons arent qualified to do that op...sending me NHS, though my doctor thinks I may get refusal as it was private. Has anyone paid private to have pips out/lymphs cleared and under one op or two? I am so confused. My new surgeon wont give me new implants until 3 months after all the old pip silicon is out of my body - is that the norm?

Re: Silicon filled Lymph nodes
Hi I went with MyBreast and a very qualified surgeon. He took my old pips out, one of which was ruptured, gave me new ones and took lymph node out.
Do you have to go back to THG or have you got scope to look around?
If I were you I'd find a surgeon who is qualified and more than capable of doing this surgery. Usually surgeons who also work for the NHS are experienced.

Re: Silicon filled Lymph nodes
Ask them if they do have a qualified surgeon...they must have more than one surgeon.
I don't understand the whole take them out and let it heal then put new ones in...any surgeon worth their registration should be able to work with what someone else has done.
