Any tips what to pack for the hospital stay?

Post by Ellie38 on 15th June 2010, 12:20 pm

I am packed now for the overnight stay at the hospital. Do you have any tips what else apart from the obvious, I should take with me? Will I need my V pillow? Some money for extra food? Cotton wool, wipes? G I am making myself nervous :-)

You won't need your own pillow in hospital as the beds raise to keep you elevated hun, but it may be an idea to ensure it's in the car for the journey home, it just acts as a cushion between boobies and seat belt and makes you a little more comfortable.

No money is required for food hun, you will have paid for your meals in the agreed price between yourself and your clinic, but if you like snacks, fruit, or a special kind of drink (juice, Lucozade, coke e.t.c) then it would be best to take your own.

Magazines are a good idea rather than a book, I just couldn't concentrate on a book but enjoying flicking through a mag.

Mints, if you are a little sick after the GA the mints just help to freshen you up.

Face wipes - I got really hot after the GA so it was nice to just cool my face down with a wipe.

I'm sure others will be along to soon to suggest other things.

Good luck Ellie! xx
