breast dropping / softening

Post by goldenrule on 24th April 2010, 12:22 pm

Heya , im new to this sight but im glad i found it for advice!
I had a boobjob two weeks ago from a 34 a to a 34c, i am very happy with them and have found the pain tolerable.
I just wondered how long peoples boobs took to soften and drop. Mine are in a nice place but are very hard and barely bounce. I know its not been long since my op but i really want to be able to get measured and wear normal bras (not this ugly sports one)

thanks again.
xx

It took a good few months for mine to be soft and bouncy. Welcome to the forum btw, glad you are happy with your new boobies. I got measured at 4 weeks and got the go ahead to wear underwire at my 6 week check up.

Hello and welcome to the forum Goldenrule :wavey:

So many surgeons give different advice on when their patients should wear normal (underwired) bras so it's always best to follow the advice of YOUR surgeon hunni, after-all it's what you paid him/her for. Some ladies can wear underwires from day 1! some wait till 4 weeks, others 6 weeks and some like myself have to wait 12 weeks! so best get that guidance from your clinic hun.

In regards to softening... we all heal at different rates babe, some ladies drop and soften very early on, some take months! I took months! It took 3 months for both of my boobs to drop properly into position and I think they starten to soften up around the same time too.

Your clinic will monitor you along your healing process and ensure all is recovering as it should be, but if you are at all concerned over anything hunni, then a call to your clinic for some reassurance usually helps. (I'm presuming you had your surgery here in the UK?) xxx

Hi hun and welcome to the forum,
As the girls have said its very individual re: dropping, can be anything from weeks to months! I got measured yesterday at four weeks but I'm still wearing non-wired bras until the recommended 6 weeks post-op

Hey I had mine 4 days ago and they are also in a good position and a gd shape but a bit of softening would be a bonus. I'm an eager beaver, can't believe how quickly the pain subsided after the two day mark. I even went out for a little boogie last night haha. Glad your happy with yours and hope they settle a bit soon. Congratulations. X

Thanks guys , yeh i think deep down i knew its a just a matter of waiting , my surgeon said i was allowed to wear other bras but said most people dont because it irratates the scars. I might leave it a while and then try one on. I dont think the fit will be the same whent they are hard to when they are soft.

I guess thats my sex life put on hold for a while , id be too embarrassed to show them to anyone as they are now! ooh well.

I still love them. And to 'Boobsplease' , yeh its not very painfull is it , i was surprised too! i went out not long after for a dance too :P

I had mine two weeks ago and they too are hard and static like ball's. Can't imagine what the end result could be.....
Us girls are impatient I think because we've waited for boob's to come along for many years and when we finally have them we want perfection from the word GO.

LOOK forward to reading your posts goldenrule as we have the same size and had our ba's at similar times.... x

They both had overs hun, if you look at the info under anyones picture it will either say pre BA or give the full details of what they have had, including implant size and placement

Hey can I just ask Golden rule or anyone else who started off as small as me... how is your pain now, my skin all over my boobs is still ridiculously sore, no aching and full movement but it is still really sore the touch, like the the worse sunburn you could imagine. Did you or do you have this? I'm guessing it's because I had A LOT of stretching to do but would be good to know how
much longer I will have this for. Xx

Hi boobsplease

I had mine 2 weeks ago, unders, and am still feeling sensitive all over the boob especially the nipples! this is very normal with all the stretching and nerve activity. I was very small to begin with and am now 34d and also can't wait to get into normal bra's!
It's much more managable now and think it just takes a bit of time.

Patience I guess in the boob world is a vertue! x

I'm a month today too sweetie and although mine are quite soft now, one is still a bit firmer. It's so hard to be patient I know, but they will change loads x
