Dressings came off today and....

My righty has gone all wierd shaped 
They definately look odd now.
It still has some swelling and my surgeon said it is going to take a lot longer to drop and shape up like leftie (leftie is used to an implant and righty is playing up)
Leftie seems to have settled into it's place already enjoying itself, but righty is still high on my chest, swollen, sore, bruised and a bit square at the bottom
also i have another weeks supply of the lovely 625 dose of Augmentin which has given me severe thrush :tears:
However i was allowed my 1st shower tonight, it was pure bliss
and the surgeon said apart from the obvious haematoma bruising signs i am healing very well and my wounds are clean & dry

OH SS!!!!! You don't know how happy I am to hear this!!! Yaye ... !!!!
OK, righty is gonna take a little more time to settle, and I'm glad your surgeon has given you more antibiotics.
And how wonderful that you were able to have a shower!
Try to get as much rest as you can, darling. xxxxx

I just read in the other thread about your haematoma. You've been through so much and to have thrush on top of it is really crappy. I'm really glad there were positives at this appointment. In time it will all turn out positive. Enjoy the showers!!

Great news SS, like the others say, the righty will soon catch up and you will have a fab pair of boobies!!
Gladyou enjoyed your shower, I stayed in mine until my skin went wrinkly afterwards because I felt so skanky!!! xx

Sounds like everything is on track for you. It makes sense for the right one to take much longer to heal after everything its gone through. Its very encouraging news that your surgeon is pleased with your progress. Augmentin are horrid to take arent they? but v effective....

Great news ss,keep taking the antibiotics as they will help.You can get some cream from chemist called Canestan,for thrush and its really effective.You,ll have fab boobies soon hun,so keep thinking positive if you can xx

Great News SS xxRightie has been through soo much, it will come round in the end though xx I remember mine being a bit square at the bottom for a while but they do round off in time xx
Sorry to hear about the thrush hun x The tablet you can get works well, but from memory I think it's quite pricey xx

Thanks for all the tips i sure will be trying everything to get rid of this damn thrush it's making me soo miserable and sore!
Righty is even higher now but that's because leftie is dropping, they did start off in the same place so i'm hoping they end up in the same place, i keep hearing the surgeon saying 'they'll never be the same' in my pre-op consultation and am anxious i'm going to be left with wonky ones but i know it's going to drop more and it just takes time and i just have to be patient

They will sweetness, they will xx Like you said patience, it's very early days yet
remember rightie and lefty are both different, it's like having two different ops, even more so in your case hun, but rightie will get there in time xx

Hi SS,
Oooooo thrush nasty isn't it, I always, always, get it when on antis. I end up spending a fortune on that 'one blue tablet' thing and it never clears on one, always, always, have to take two of them!! Buy some good bacteria tabs from holland and barratt this should improve things in the long run for you and avoid yeast products too for a while....no bread, wine, marmite....hard to do - but works a trick!
Glad ur healing well now though......and I bet they even up soon to be a fine pair of boobies!!!

I went to the docs when I last had thrush as the expensive tablet didn't work. He prescribed me a canestan cream that you 'shoot up' but you can't buy it over the counter. You should get yourself off to the docs for some of that cream hun. He did say that the tablet doesn't always work and that this cream stuff was better, which it was because it made it go away.
