These instructions are for the advanced board. Have a look and see what some of the advanced features are:
This board uses WYSIWYG - What You See Is What You Get. So the majority of changes you make will be displayed on screen as you go. This is good as it eliminates the need for BBcode.
So, from top left to right:
1 - Bold - Highlight the text you want to be bold and click the button
2 - Italic - Highlight the text you want to be italic and click the button
3 - Underline - Highlight the text you want underlined and click the button
4 -Strike - Highlight the text you want and click the button
Alignment
5. Left Aligned text begins at the left and will carry on to the right
Lists
9. This list button will create a list like this:
Milk
Bread
Butter etc etc
Highlight the whole selection and click the list button you want!
11. Ignore this
12. The speech bubble means quote.
Copy the text you want to quote. Paste it, highlight the selection then press the speech bubble button! Your text will contain this at either end
E.g. I've quoted the intro at the top.
13. Don't worry about the next button over. It's code display.
14. The next button will insert a table for you. Not really needed and tricky to use.
15. Use button 15 if you want to host an image on the site. Eg, say you have a picture of you in your new bra on your computer and you want us to see. Click button 15. Up will pop another window. Browse and find your picture. Then click the resize image tab. Use either 800 px width or 640 px width. Then click host it! This is a quick alternative to using picturetrail or photobucket.
16. If you've found a picture on the net you'd like to use then get the picture details. Right click on the picture, then scroll down to 'copy image location.' Then click the icon, paste the URL into the box then click ok.
17. The next icon looks like a chain link. Use this if you want us to go to a website. Click the link button. Then in the top box write the address (eg hotmail.com) then in the bottom box write the name of the website.
You'll end up with this kind of thing: [Only admins are allowed to see this link]
18. Ignore this
19. This icon is for embedding youtube vids onto the site.
Find the vid you like, and get the URL for it. Click button 19 then paste in the url. The press ok. You'll end up with this showing in the post:
When you actually post your thread it'll look like this:
20. This is the font size.
21. The next is font colour
22. The next is font style
Again, highlight the text you want to change then click the relevant button.
23. Others. Clicking button 23 will bring down a few other things you can do. They're more advanced and not used much so don't worry about these.

5. Left Aligned text begins at the left and will carry on to the right
6. Centre aligned text starts in the centre
7. Right aligned text hugs the right
8. Justified text will make sure that all you write lines up at both edges and looks neat and tidy. There may be bigger gaps between some words than others in order for it to do this. It's not really necessary to use justified text in the forum.
