BIA ALCL and re-op dilemma

BIA ALCL and re-op dilemma Empty BIA ALCL and re-op dilemma

Post by annefinackapan 17th March 2017, 11:39 am

Hi,

Gosh here I am again after a v long time getting ready to have a re-op.

I am either going to have a Mastopexy and new smaller implants or Mastopexy with removal of implants.
I have found my surgeon, booked date, got the cash and am good to go.

However I now have read up on BIA ALCL which my surgeon quite rightly informed me of as a new known risk since my last op.

What do I do??? Implant or no implant? Is this something anyone else has concerns about? I know the risk is tiny but its thrown me out completely as I had decided I would get new implants with the uplift (boobs have gone south considerably!). Now Im thinking just get them out hoik em up and grow old gracefully.

Any words of wisdom from you lovely girls? xxx
